The ARIA Resort and Casino is a luxury resort and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It’s part of the CityCenter complex and was developed by MGM Mirage (now MGM Resorts International) and Dubai World. Here’s a brief history:
Construction began on June 25, 2006, with a design by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects.
The resort received LEED Gold certification for its environmentally friendly design and was the largest hotel in the world to achieve such a feat at the time of its opening.
ARIA opened on December 16, 2009, as part of the $9.2 billion CityCenter project.
It features two curvilinear glass towers, rising up to 50 stories, with 4,004 rooms and suites.
The resort includes the only casino at CityCenter, with 150,000 sq ft (14,000 m²) of gaming space.
ARIA has been recognized with an AAA Five Diamond Award and a five-star rating from Forbes Travel Guide.
