Played baccarat this afternoon for the very first time in an actual Vegas casino. I won about 200 bucks. The dealer was friendly and the pace of the game was enjoyable.
This explains so many old comedy scenes I've seen where there's an ignorant player who finds himself at a baccarat table (Archer comes to mind) and the character has no idea why they're suddenly up or down thousands of dollars but just LOVES the excitement around them.
My foolproof strategy for winning at Baccarat - Eat a huge bowl of pork & beans and broccoli about 20 minutes before you play. Start letting 'em rip about 10 minutes after the game begins and that table will clear out damn quick. You're welcome.
Good video - however I disagree that $10 minimum tables are easy to find (perhaps at an electronic table, but not at a table with a dealer) $25 seems to be more typical during my last visit to Vegas.. even at the Rio !
Mini bac is like playing roulette with only black/red bets. If you can't make the side bets, you are at a much larger disadvantage to winning large money.
as an old retired Bacc dealer, the best piece of advice to teach someone this game is to get them to understand that the word player and banker don't mean anything. If you get them to replace the words player and banker with hand A and hand B, that is 90% of the confusion. the other thing to explain to somebody, is that you only have two decisions to make. bet on hand A or bet on hand B (player or banker) and how much to bet. those are the only two decisions you have. you can't affect the outcome of the cards in any way like blackjack.
seems like a good one for the Martindale strategy. Start low and double your bet every time you loose to recover loss. quit as soon as your up one bet LOL.
I do this but add 1 so you're always making money when you win not just breaking even. It gets you to that max bet much sooner though. In the end you always lose everything.
Even though the rules dictate when a third card is drawn, it is still important for you to understand those rules. I have seen dealers make mistakes on drawing a third card. If you as a player don't know the rules, and the dealer draws when they shouldn't and it affects the outcome, you are at the mercy of that outcome. But if the dealer draws in error, you can stop the game and correct for it by informing the pit personnel. Most dealers will make some mistakes throughout their shift. We are all human. Enjoy the game and play responsibly.
Great video!! I was amazed at how popular this game was when I visited Macau. Quick question, in some old 007 Bond movies there was a version of Baccarat that he plays where he touches the cards and actually chooses whether to hit or stand (Kinda like blackjack). Is this some weird European version of the game?
Good question! In baccarat the casino represents both the dealer and banker bets. In those James Bond movies he was actually playing Chemin de Fer. It is similar to baccarat, except in Chemin de fer the players bet against each other rather than against the house. One player at the table needs to act as the banker, but each player, in rotation has a chance to be the banker (or pass on it). The players also have some leeway as to whether or not they want to take a third card. I believe that the casino makes its money by taking the 5% commission on bank bets. So, in Chemin de Fer when Bond won his bets he was winning his money directly from the bad guy rather than from the casino. I guess that made it more personal? And, of course, Bond always won so the bad guy always wanted revenge!

You can win at baccarat as long as you don't play that much Have a target of 2-5 units max or target 1-3% of your bankroll.. If you will do that is very hard to lose but not impossible..
@@mikewallace3046unit equals whatever your base bet is. If you’re bettin in increments of $1, $5, $10 etc. So if you start with $10 bet, want to win 10 units you’ll have won $100. Key to anyone table game is a big bankroll and start with small bets, have a small goal, and have a stop loss.
huh? so you can only ever win ONCE with that logic.... Basically you are saying you must win within your units, and once you come out on top, you never can play again.
Understanding how to play Baccarat is beneficial, but it's important to recognize that the game has a fixed house edge that cannot be overcome by any strategy. Betting systems won't alter the odds, so consistent long-term profits are unlikely.
I also say the same for pai gow, it is a great game for someone wanting the "table game experience" if they don't know any games. 1. There are a lot of pushes and 2. If you don't know what to do you csn show the dealer and they will set it the house way

He brought a woman with him who had a photographic memory or something like that, and convinced the casino to use a very specific type of cards who is known for having defects in the pattern on the back. Using this he could predict what cards were coming and bet accordingly

Excellent video to explain how to play Baccarat. I will try out this game besides Black Jack in Vegas next time. Is Baccarat the best game to play a single large bet if someone wants to do so? What I mean is, let's say I want to play 1 big bet... we will say $2,500.
