I made these but I was allergic to almonds, I searched the web and no nut-free recipes looked similar to the real thing, so I made my own! I ground up pumpkin seeds until they resembled the consistency of the almond flower and I did the rest how you usually would, THEY WERE DELICIOUS! My friend said that they even tasted better than when made with almond flower! ~~For anyone allergic to almonds~~ ENJOY :)
Great video. I love that you didn't speed through the steps that much, but at the same time you didn't leave us with boring pauses. I quite enjoyed learning with you. Thank you!
I just made these (first time making macarons) and they came out perfect, feet and all! I replaced the earl grey with two bags of Twinings Blackcurrant Breeze, and added five drops of blue food coloring, and piped them out oblong, so that they turned out looking like little robin’s eggs. Super cute!
I tried this recipe but instead of adding the earl grey tea leaves, I sifted passion tea leaves into the mixture and added a little bit of red food dye. For the filling, I added a few drops of lemon. They turned out so amazing and delicious!! Thank you for the recipe and demonstration! :)
This is the first video I've watched they detailed when (& most importantly WHY) one stops blending the ground almond & merengue mixtures. Thank you! ♡
Thank you SO much for actually showing the entire combining process. most people just cut to the liquid batter part. I failed multiple times not knowing if my batter was just too dry or if I was just undermixing!!
So I tried making this recipe and overall, it turned out pretty great! I loved the subtle hint of earl grey, it gave a very warm feeling. I have some notes that I think I should add: • The honey for me was a bit overwhelming, so next time I will only put 2 tbsp of honey instead of 3 (but this is solely personal preference on taste) • I would've loved a bit more early grey flavour (again, solely just personal preference) so next time I'm planning to add a 1 1/2 tea bags of earl grey • When I made the filling, I let it sit in the fridge for about an hour and it was still kinda melting when I filled the macarons, so I decided to leave the macarons with the buttercream filling in the fridge for a few hours and it was really good • I'm not too sure if it was the way I mixed (overmixed or undermixed) the macronage, or maybe it was the oven, but when I baked it at 300ºF for about 12 minutes, the shells were hollow (still a bit soft and crunchy, but very hallow); I'm thinking I may need to bake it less like for 8-10 minutes instead? • You've already mentioned this but there was a lot of buttercream filling left, so I decided to make another batch of macaron shells to finish the filling
These are the best things i've ever tasted. They turned out perfect, i dyed them pink and filled with them a fudge filling instead. I will definitely make these again, thanks so much for the recipe!

Thank you for your tutorial! I'm so glad you took time to show us the folding/mixing of the dry and wet ingredients!that's where I screwed up... the first time I mixed too much and ti was very runny (The egg whites weren't whipped enough either)... and the second time, I didn't mix enough so it turned out more like meringue cookies, instead of macaroons! These sound really wonderful. We sold so many macarons when we had our physical store and Earl Grey is one of my favorite teas! Combining the two sounds amazing!
It did for me; I put them in a small food processor and alternated between grinding them and sifting them. Some of them won't grind down to the fine size so you'll have the bigger chunks left over. That's what worked for me though; good luck!
This looks lovely! I'm hosting my sisters bridal shower later this year, and it's going to be a brunch, so this is going to go perfectly! Thank you for sharing, and in such detail!
I didn't take it as criticism, I find differences in the use of language interesting too. These are beautiful; I tried mine for the first time yesterday. I got feet but the template I used was a small diameter so they ended having more height than width; yours are perfect size!

OH My ... you are really cool.. thanks for the video.. will defo try and make them.. i think yours is the best video tutorial on making home bake macarons..you really make them look so easy..
this is one of the best macaron videos i've found; your explanation of the "folding" is really helpful. thank you so much for uploading! i have subscribed :)
French was the first language I learned and is the language spoken in my home. After many years, my English is much better than my French because I speak it most often nowadays.
I've always considered the bit by bit thing to be unecessary most of the time for most recipes, it just keeps the ingredients from flying around when you are mixing with an electric mixer. It was fine for this recipe because you have to mix it so much to get the right consistency that you are unlikely to get any pockets of dry ingredients in the batter
I made these but I was allergic to almonds, I searched the web and no nut-free recipes looked similar to the real thing, so I made my own! I ground up pumpkin seeds until they resembled the consistency of the almond flower and I did the rest how you usually would, THEY WERE DELICIOUS! eec smart!
eec where they raw the pepitas? Or did you toast them first? And then you just put the same amount in there and they worked out fine?
"Flour "not 🌸

I have been looking for an easy, simple, yummy macaron recipe, and this is the best one on TH-cam! Thank you soo much! I am going to try this out! :)
great demo. thank you I think the electric burners are more manageable but I have a glass top stove so I use a double boiler (that is I put the custard ingredients into a stainless steel bowl and then place that over a pot of hot water) to cook the custard to avoid burning it.
This is a very nice compliment indeed! Thank you very much and I'm glad it worked out for you
Best macaron tutorial on the Internet!
these really do work!! no cracks- feet and all! tho i added chocolate ganache for the filling, think it tastes better with the earl grey
These are beautiful; I tried mine for the first time yesterday. I got feet but the template I used was a small diameter so they ended having more height than width; yours are perfect size!
They look amazing and look store bought!! You did a great job
Actually, i've been to france, and that's the PERFECT way to say it!!!
Yoyomax ur the best i luv u!!!!!!!
It is found in the baking aisle of my very small town grocery store. You can make your own by grinding some blanched almonds (with the brown stuff removed).
These look wonderful!! I love earl grey anything and I can't wait to attempt these. Thank you!
OH My ... you are really cool.. thanks for the video.. will defo try and make them.. i think yours is the best video tutorial on making home bake macarons..you really make them look so easy..
It is a nice feeling to see some of them turn out isn't it? Thanks for telling about your attempt

this is one of the best macaron videos i've found; your explanation of the "folding" is really helpful. thank you so much for uploading! i have subscribed :)
I absolutely loved this video, I can't wait to try and make them! You made those macaroon to perfection!
I'm gonna make my FIRST macarons with my grandma on Monday and I'm so excited!
