My question is: my older TV doesn't support ARC but has CEC. I have an NVIDIA Shield that supports Dolby Atmos. Will Dolby Atmos work if I connect the Shield to the receiver? My TV will be connected to the receiver with HDMI and an optical cable. Thanks
Hi Sir SugarRey's, I have some difficulties to make a settings of my AVR RX V6A like the Tone Control,Lipsync, Dialogue Level, Volume Trim Ypao Subwoofer Trim etc. I made a settings in many times then I'd turn the memory guard set to on after sometimes those all turn back to default mode! I have a new TSR-700 receiver. I cannot get my subwoofer to play. When I use YPAO to balance the speakers, I get a test tone from the Subwoofer. But when I run the tone test, I do not get any sound from the Sub, nor does it work when I play music. I have swapped out cables (no effect) and have the same result when trying another Subwoofer. I have my system set up as a 5.1 system and am using the LFE connector on the Sub (Jamo C 912). Any suggestions would be helpful as I have gone through menu settings ad nauseam.
Is the context your playing pushing a minimum of 5.1? You can also test by changing front speakers to “small” so it forces the subwoofer to play anything under 80hz
When you ask order of positions for you mean which speakers it pushes the spatial frequency tones to adjust the setup? If so front left the right. Then rear left then right, ATMOS (if applicable) and finally Subwoofer.
i actually have a problem with my current setup using a Samsung Q95T and the RX V6A (TSR-700) connected with a hdmi e-arc cable. The problem is that the AV is not being recognized by the TV when turning on. After a few seconds it says, "no source" i have to manually select the HDMI e-arc on my tv because its switching to normal TV-speakers everytime i turned it off. After selecting in AV settings AV to HDMI Control = ON and ARC = on it works again. but when i turn on my ARC = ON my AV wont start on auto when turning on my TV. its super frustrating, another problem whats happening is that my sound wont start right at the beginning watching videos on youtube/netflix/amazon etc. it takes like 5-15 seconds. The HDMI cable is 3 meters long is this maybe a problem ? Oo
Would it be possible to do a quick explanation video on the different audio settings like pure direct vs straight vs auto etc. Thanks for doing the videos on the 700.
How does the 4k upscaling works on the receiver if we play 1080p video? Does it really upscaling the video to 4k? Can you please make a video on this 4k upscaling with demo
It's pretty basic I would say.or in other words your lower resolution still looks the same.my Sony tv upscaling is much better and hence I don't use AVR one
Got the tsr 700 a couple weeks ago. Upgrade from Rx v596. So far it's been good, just having to go through all the settings is a pain. I been using straight over dolby, been having super low sound and dialogue. now it's better. Just fine turning the subwoofer, it's been super low. Might have to get a new one.
I'm about to buy a new AVR as well. I have the tsr 700 but the bass is low. I got two 12 inch monolith subwoofers the bass is low. I tried the calibration single point. Base was good but low. I tried multi point base got super low. Tried using the umik 1 to calibrate and even got a mini DSP 2x4hd for the subs and still low bass. I'm done with this one. Need a new AVR
@@g4mer-d3v1l5 I got my bass back. I think the calibration doesn't give the right dB level sometimes. I did bumped it up a lot, under level setting it's at +10 dB. And under tone control bass is +4. On my sub itself, I have the gain at 8.
@@TacticalFlow i read on several forums that raising the bass pas 0 on the level that it can have problems. So I try to keep it under 0 or right at 0. Now I have to see the sub control you mention and move this setting see i it gets better. The gain on the back of the subs is at 6 I think.

You can also reboot the reciever in the music cast app too without unplugging if its hard to get too

I have two subwoofers, but only one is displayed when connected to V6A, is this the case for v6A
