What the literal endless expletives. The Lapalux original is legit one of my favorite tracks of all time. This just came up on a random Spotify playlist and I was instantly stopped in my tracks. I quickly followed it to Google and now this TH-cam only to realize it's a fucking live performance!?! What in the world. The fact that this is performed by a single human, Live. What an unreal rendition. I'm sitting here speechless, mouth agape with goosebumps the entire time. Can't even fathom what it took to piece this arrangement together. I'm simply blown away. Music transcends everything. The engineering and mix as well is incredibly top notch. Thank you, endlessly.

Looks like a vocoder setup.
Vocoders don't allow you to re-pitch the audio itself, but most pitch shifters can't be played on a keyboard. After doing some research I think he may be using Native Instruments' 'The Mouth'. There may also be possible in Max 7 (The Mouth was programmed in Reaktor, so it would be a Reaktor capability.).
the midi controller is controlling a computer that the mic is also going thru.... probably abelton and when he presses a note the vocals get shifted to the note he presses on the controller (its not what One More Conjecture is babbling about)
Not sure if this is what he's using, but Auto-Tune Live can do this. You can program which notes you want to 'snap' your voice to via a midi keyboard. If you play multiple notes, it will treat it as a scale and snap your voice to the nearest note in that scale. But if you just play one note, it will try to snap whatever you sing to that note. I don't have the plugin but I just read through the manual and it seems possible.

Yea it’s some kinda midi for sure. My brother showed me (sound engineer) and even guys in his studio just have to stop in awe

@alxx002 well I haven't seen any original tunes from Binkbeats? No hate on him either! The two artists are incredible in my book! But 100% of lapalux's work is perfect the way it is. You cant just say he just presses buttons. There is allot of work on midi keyboards and manipulation of field samples not to mention how samples are made
