    Soldering iron works just as well just prep the surface with some sand paper and use the tip of the iron to push little waves into the plastic about 1mm apart then lay all of them flat to join, i have used this method and its worked 100% every time even joining a motorcycle front mug guard together which was in 2 pieces if needed drill a few holes for some small cable ties to hold both pieces together and filler over them after

    I use solder iron tips on hard cracked plastics. Hit it at 450 degree, go one pass deep/to the other end but not through, making a wake on each side. Do another pass folding the wakes down. Do a last pass to smooth out the surface. If you sand it it will look "like new" :-) Has never failed and done it like 10 times. Coolers, just cover parts and other stuff.

    O well in reaction to all the negative posts i can say this is a great bit of kit
    i bought one a year ago, much cheaper than a nitrogen welder for pretty much the same result " a good strong weld"
    This model appear to have bespoke design in the welder pistol as it gives of very little smoke in comparison to other welder.s
    This is a welder !!
    To create a weld one must melt the base material and fuse it with the filler rod, this is how plastic is welded
    the same basic procedure as welding metal.
    Though in this video a larger V groove, should have been created in my opinion. and the plastic should be cleaned with a pre cleaner to remove any contaminants.
    Some plastics polyurethane for example cannot be fusion welded and do following a procedure like brazing

Concerning the noise, we have decided to record a realistic video without any music in order to show to the customers its real capability. I thought you might appreciate. The different kinds of plastic stripe ( PP,ABS, PUR etc ) may be chosen according to the kind of car body that you nned to repair and that's very important.

    How is that unit any different than a electronic hot air station? I would imagine that unit is significantly more than $400, which is the cost of a good quality hot air station capable of reaching temperatures of 500º C.
    BTW, your caption should read "without smoke or burning", not "without no smoke and no burning".

    Looks more like hot glue than welding. At no point did the body panel or the glue strip melt into each other. Not saying it won't hold... just that it's not welded.

    • @aitinduction-poweredbyalba1207
      @aitinduction-poweredbyalba1207  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear Sir,
      we don't adopt a standard glue to fix it. We adopt specific kind of stripes accoridng to the kind of car body. As an example, we adopt PP stripes if the car body is made of PP. That's the best way to achieve a high performances in terms of resistance and durability. We "dig" a V in order to provide to the stripe more surface to be set in contact with.
