I don’t have Tourette’s, but for some strange reason I’ve always enjoyed talking in a British accent. I’ve done it since I was fairly young. It got to the point where I sometimes didn’t even realize I was doing it, because i had voluntarily done it so long. Most people enjoyed it, some women even found it attractive for reasons beyond me lol. I remember around 5 years ago I was at a restaurant with a bunch of friends and our waitress was from the UK. I of course without even realizing it ordered in this accent and she literally freaked out at me. I was shocked lol! My friends were trying to explain to her that I always do it, but she didn’t understand. There’s a decent chance she spat in my food, because she was NOT happy whatsoever lol. I can only imagine what negative encounters you’ve had over the years. You seem like an incredible person and I’m happy you’ve found a calling online. Keep trying to be the better you. Maybe that better you is being someone else. The only person who should be changing them self is you and one else
While I don't have tics, I do have impulsive stims (I don't know if that's what it's officially called but basically if I'm thinking about it I can completely control it, unlike a tic, but if I'm not focusing and get overexcited- negative or positive- I'll do something like clapping or rocking in place, if I'm too negatively overwhelmed I've even hit, scratched, and bit myself before. Using stim toys helps but I'm generally embarrassed to use them) and ngl watching her tics make me feel better about myself, because if she can accept herself with such... I suppose invasive symptoms, why should it be such a problem that sometimes I act a little weird? Hearing the vocal tics also makes me feel a bit better about my intrusive thoughts, because while I never say then aloud they can be quite horrifying/offensive and for years I've hated myself for them, but these videos help me come to grips with the fact that those thoughts aren't my fault
Luckily my only vocal autistic symptom is being TOO quiet, I've gone nonverbal a couple times during breakdowns and I never express pain, fear, surprise, etc through sounds (which would be kinda great if it didn't mean people think I'm faking/lying when I'm in pain or feeling sick, I've tried to learn to force reactive sounds like that but it just seems even faker)

As many youtubers/streamers say, she’s very charismatic and you (I hope) and I watch her solely because she’s entertaining and not for sexual arousal which proves that there are so many people who enjoy her content without being creeps. The creeps just stand out more which is why you think the majority of her community is like that.

I love how when she says meaningful things, her ticks go away for the most part. I think that’s pretty cool. I have a friend who has Tourettes. (probably misspelled that btw) he has nonverbal ticks but they seem to disappear when he plays the guitar or sing, does doing an engaging activity help with your ticks?
