- I've been in the market for a Fish Finder on the Kayak and I didn't want to get into wiring or maintaining batteries just yet. In this video I unbox and test the Lucky LUCKYLAKER Portable Sonar Fish Finder. I give a quick review while going over the included parts and pieces, testing it out in water and seeing how it works. I’ve been looking at one of these. I mainly bank fish due to my health, but I do get out on my kayak and boat every now and then.

I know this replies a little late, but my buddy uses a little RC boat to take his out. Ties The transducer to the back of the RC boat works pretty well actually. For shore fishing

Thanks for the video. I just purchased this unit and want to figure out how to show the fish icons without the audible alarm. Did I miss something in the instructions?

I believe there is an alarm section where you can enable or disable the audible alerts

Do you know what a thin green line by the fish icon mean? sometimes, when i use my lucky finder, when fish icon appears on the display, there is a thin green line above the fish.... cant find anywhere what this means...

What kind of kayak do you have?
And at the front of kayak is the transducer held on with a cleat?

I am hoping this weekend, I have the mounting sorted out so now it's just on the water testing. Anything in particular you were looking to see in the update? I can try and include it in the testing.

Hey - thanks for the reply. I will be mounting mine on a canoe (arriving Friday) so I am deciding on how I am going to do that still. My interest is more in the accuracy and quality of the data that the unit provides.

Can you just tow it along as you go slowly along or does that tilt it too much?

Surpassingly you can, it will float next to you. You're not going to get very accurate fish readings but it will still give you depth and temp pretty accurately.

I used it for multiple 6-8 hr days before needing to charge it.

A long time actually, multiple days. I charged it every couple trips.
