Jeff, this is the best art podcast on the internet. Your guests are amazing and the conversations are interesting and entertaining. Thanks for the effort you put into these.
The artist with passion and work ethic will always rise above. I think talented or gifted artists just got to start early, not born with anything but passion. Agree with Pete! When out painting and some passer-by says so talented or what a gift or looks like a photo/better than a photo, I just say "Thanks" since it's too deep a discussion and I gotta paint!
Ah jeff.. bit narcissistic maybe but just watched this through. Forgotten how much fun it was. You’re a legend. Looking forward to your uk visit next year. Let me know.
Big fan of this fella and his work. Thank you Jeff for having him on for a conversation. I just assumed Pete would always be an enigmatic incredible talent I'd never put a face to. This is awesome. Great stuff!
I've stumbled on Peter Brown a few months back and his work just blows me away. I was thrilled to now discover and listen to this podcast. As an amateur painter it is inspiring to hear such masters struggle with so many of the same challenges. Encourages me to press on and believe in myself and the journey.
Jeff, this was a stellar episode of the best art podcast out there. Just love Pete the street and I love the undraped artist and all the nuggets of knowledge and inspiration it provides me with. Best wishes from a middle aged aspiring landscape painter from Sweden dreaming of taking the big leap from the office chair to my plein air easel. Please keep doing what you do!
He's right, unbleached titanium (or buff titanium) is very nice to have in mixes or on its own. But not all brands are the same hue. I have 2: Georgian (Daler Rowney) called "Buff Titanium" leans cool, like a raw umber plus white. Great shortcut color to temper a hue and not unlike a very light version of Vasari's "Ship Rock" or Holbein "Monochrome Tint Warm". If you're in the States try Plaza Brand "Unbleached Titanium". It's warmer than Georgian, like a lighter, very low chroma naples, great on it's own too, and doesn't go chalky as fast in mixes. Only regret is Plaza doesn't have 150ml size tubes of this one.
Thank you Jeff for having Peter Brown aka Pete the Street. His observation skills and ability to paint are incredible!

Local hero! I love Pete's work, especially as a Bristolian of 30 years who was born in Glasgow, I love to see him elevate my surroundings.
Pete the Street! Glad to see you interview another plein air artist who has some bark on him!

Great talk! Thank you!
I think it’s a learned skill but such hard work.
He is one of my favorites!
THanks for the video. - It’s fun to beat your demons! (Or at least try) I think that’s what keeps us going - the grit!
Great watch and listen.
Great interview.
Hey Jeff, Gamblin makes Titanium Buff
so his name isnt logan loganov, its ivan loginov. 😄
Oops
I would guess its Williamsburg unbleached titanium.
It could be Michael Harding. I noticed he does use MH.
Peter is excellent, but it was hard for me to understand him..his diction.
