The first time I watched this video when it came out I thought it was awesome, but after building 3 bike since then and working at a bike shop for a year, my appreciation for the jokes and whole video in general is through the roof. Thanks Seth for everything you do dude.
I like the blue pedals! The bike is soooooo nice!!! I'm 13 and started watching your videos in the winter, but now I hit 15 foot gaps on a downhill bike I bought used for $400. Thanks for making your videos, they always inspire me!
ChrisDaFish ... Yeah I like em too. I thought maybe it was an inside joke I didn't know about it something, but they add character and style. Bike looks sick.
You are fortunate to have so many good sponsors. and I say it for the pleasure of assembling a bicycle. cut, grease tighten screws precise adjustments etc. It is a unique feeling!
Because Slime is his sponsor so if he tries it and it works then people would just buy this and not the one that's intended for bikes and Seth's is going to ruin their business.
Man. I have casually passed your channel in the past, but lately I've been really hooked. I'm the same age as you, and I spent most of my first 20some years on the planet strapped to a mtb. My last good dirt bike was a 2000 GF Piranha; hardtail, no forks, no nothing. Rode it until I cracked the rear stays at the crank. Lots of big drops and way too many hard miles. Picked up a street cruiser for commuting and up until I had my kids, I was still putting a few thousand km a summer on my bike. I've been itching to get back on dirt, and this channel is(n't) helping. Love the content, and the delivery. You're reigniting my passion.
Agreed. I'm not a fan of the pedals as it sits but with some other blue accents I could get on board with them. I love anodized blue too so maybe a blue stem, seat clamp or even a blue seat.
Diamondback Bicycles Hey diamondback want to hook me up with a bike that doesn't break every other week like my giant atx, if not I'll by building up one of your frames with in the next two years. Btw I would put a big billboard in my yard if I got a good bike. Thanks if you read this keep building great bikes.
Hello my name is Charlie can you hook me up with some stuff from Kent to Coventry I would like a bike for down hill biking and bunny hops one suitable for 10 or 11 year olds thank you your sisterly charlie ps I think you have done great on every single bike well done please hook me up I love your bikes I only go to mike vaunts cycles i like there bikes to but I would really appreciate if you do what I have asked you I am not saying to do this but I would love it if you did a hard tail would be good 👍👍😀😀
Although some might object on aesthetic grounds... I like the blue pedals. First, black would just be TOO matchy-matchy. I also think it adds a touch of personality. But on the utility side of things... it makes sense for the pedals to be bright and contrast with other colors in use. When the ground is moving by pretty fast or you’re in the air and the landing is coming but your feet are off the pedals it is easier to find your footing with your peripheral vision or with just a quick glance.
The Blue petals worked with the Blue dust cap on the old forks but now with the new all black forks it really clashes. Make it an all black bike or introduce some blue cable ends.
the great sealant massacre has got to be one of the funniest moments too, the tire explosion sounds like a bomb going off. There's some trails by my Grandparents house so when I was little (like 8) I'd ride them on their dollar store bikes they got for us. I needed some air in my tire so my grandpa put some air in my tire and as I was biking up the road to the trail head my tire blew up because he put to much air in my tire so I know first hand how Seth felt during that time.
I've heard said many times that air springs have "stiction", meaning they need a little more force to start moving, while coil springs don't have this. Air springs are popular because they are lighter and much easier to adjust.
That would sound reasonable, because air forks have like an additional piston to substitute spring. And additional piston means additional friction. BUT. Air fork has progression, meaning you can give it slightly more SAG (thus plushness) without the risk of bottoming out.
Oh, but both have stiction (coming from dustcaps), but air fork would have additional stiction from air spring, which is basically a piston filled with air.
With the colors and the sleek looks, this looks like something TRON would ride. As the owner of a black hardtail with blue flat pedals, I approve. I wanna see you spill some tofu with this monster gal, Seth!
1) I LOVE the blue pedals. It adds a bit of WOO to the all black. I was strongly considering selling my HT, but then I took it out again this weekend and fell in love all over again. It will stay in my quiver for good.
GEO ... Yeah they're really fun. Too many wimps out there that don't know how to send it. FS bikes definitely have their place, but more times than people give em credit for, HTs can really rip.

I think the pedals add a pop of color to it; call it the Bruiser!
digitalrailroader I like that!
I agree, keep the blue pedals!
But perhaps some other equally blue details would be much nicer
Seth's Bike Hacks add some other blue parts to it like a blue cable and and blue zip ties.
I like them just need to add a couple more blue accent parts
I swear I’ve watched this about 15 times
same i do not know why
Same
Same , 5th time

i bought a diamond back because of seth
Same I have a sync'r pro
Yep, my next bike will most likely be a Diamondback because of him. Probably an Atroz 3.
ZIGGY same-bought the Line in xl
I like Seth's videos but I like GT bikes
The Fox 36 looked better with the gold chain.
Jesus Gamito not necessary, i have a 170mm grip 2 36 Factory, and i would love to give that ribbon a try
Jesus Gamito thats ribbon seems very good for tech trails and staying on the ground
Yeah the fox 36 looks cool
It will even perform better
You need to have a Kashima coat on them tho if you want them to look good
"This is a swytch bike"
"This is a swytch bike"

"This is Diamondback's new hardtail"

that's sick i started the same way, bought a used $300 Kona Stinky downhill bike. what bike did you get?
Johc Loch Thats awesome. I bought a used 2011 mongoose boot r foreman downhill bike.
Only a 13yo would like those pedals
Blue pedals look sick
B Kaniecki They make me want to BE sick.
I am sick. Literally
Idk if he put blue grips on it too it would be kind of dope
iHyperpixel I’m sick too lol
Sick as well, ihyperpixel you are causing a virus (jk)
woo hoo Seth! I've been refreshing the page for your vids to drop..haha
You are fortunate to have so many good sponsors. and I say it for the pleasure of assembling a bicycle. cut, grease tighten screws precise adjustments etc. It is a unique feeling!
since everyone asks about the slime sealant at auto shops, why not do a test using *that* slime sealant instead of the bike sealant?
And call it a “Hack”
I don't think that it would hold air.....
EviLTyres no no don’t do that one of my dads friends didn’t realize he was using slime tube sealant then it defected his maxxis tires
Because Slime is his sponsor so if he tries it and it works then people would just buy this and not the one that's intended for bikes and Seth's is going to ruin their business.
@@trabi0582 tubeless tires dont need sealant to hold air, its really just there to seal punctures and the occasional tire imperfections
The blue pedals could use some blue grips and maybe a blue seat to even the palette out.
NAh leave o my blue pedal
BEYOND MAD yes that would look GREAT
BEYOND MAD you sir have good taste
You are my fav TH-camr
I agree
To me the blue pedals seem better than what black pedals would look. I like the color pallet and how it has been used.
Do a video on a beginner bike that you make, and make a series on how to take care of it. It would help anyone trying to get into biking.
Just watch all his videos waterhead
@@Alejandro-vb2fx dang bro. Ice it.
I too would like to see a budget build, maybe utilize a Co-Op DRT1.1. Id be interested in your thoughts on that bike.
Jake Miller yes please
The kashima coat looked sooo good!
But but but... your not ssupposed to use a drill. Had me dead 👌 I love Seth's sense of humor
MTB Shredder Same... and I use the exact same method 😂
I be been guilty too for doing that
I have*
MTB Shredder It’s like, a thousand times quicker! And anyway, we have the backing of the Hackmaster himself... and Seth’s always right...... right? 🤔
IRON H34RT221 You are right 😏
Seths needs to make another bike, these videos are so good
Came back to this vid 5x already, still can’t get over her beauty.
I’ve watched this video more than a few times to say the least and still enjoy seeing this build. I’d really love to get a hard tail some day.
u dont have one??????
This is one of my favorite videos ever, you should do more bike builds like this, great job!

As usual, entertaining and informative...nice coverage.
this is my 5th time watching this and I'm still mesmerized keep it up Seth
Wish i could experience new bike day more than once
I love my hardtail!

Great video! Thanks for sharing!

I like how he says use a specific amount of sealant and then he just pours a bunch in
He didn't specify amount, just type.
Also the amount of times he has pour sealant how probably knows it by heart
I watched this 6 times idk why 😂
Hey Seth, is there a particular reason you went with the Coil version of the MRP ribbon?? Please like so Seth can see
I would assume more plushness
Skräcken Really? I feel air would be more plush than coil and the more fine tuning you can do with an air fork
I've heard said many times that air springs have "stiction", meaning they need a little more force to start moving, while coil springs don't have this. Air springs are popular because they are lighter and much easier to adjust.
