Just something I noticed as a tire industry veteran if all types, it's always easier to start and finish at the valve when mounting as it is in the drop center of the rim. That little bit makes a huge difference with a lot of tire products ease of installations. The indexing you mentioned is spot on 👍

I think after using the D1X for the past year I would never go back. You could just buy a second set of batteries and never worry. They are L-Ion so won't die like Ni-Cad. You can also still ride if the batt goes dead and charge before the next ride. I really don't like the look of any shifter so it doesn't bother me. Always nice to support a small company trying to make biking better!!

Top tip for floor pump tubeless setup: make sure that the valve is in the upper position, press on the tire right over the valve and pump normal. 80% of the air loss is at the entrance. I'm using this method for several years now, flawless! (because i'm far by being native in english, additional explanation: just grab the tire and the rim at the valve and hold it until you get pressure, then pump normally, works with floor pumps). Cheers!
2:16 - Completely pointless imo. I line up the psi ratings on the tire with the valve stem, function over form. Also, it usually seems to put the tire graphic on the less busy side of whatever graphic the rims has in my experience, filling out the wheel much more and making it look better imo.

i set my first tubeless tire about 2 months ago with nothing but a floor pump and holy hell my forearms were burning, but now i have a tubeless rear wheel and love the puncture protection it offers for riding to school

@@insanebmxthomas the calibration on the AXS is so it's easier to finish a ride after a wreck, and I work at a bike shop as well so I'm not stranger to using derailleur adjustments but the AXS setup allows for single gear tuning so I can set up each gear exactly how I want it

Agreed. Neither is being nice to it after it pees inside. You only have to punish them a few times then they’re good for life. Mine haven’t had an accident since they were puppies.
I always save my cassette lockrings and the 11T sprocket that I never shift into in case the lockring gets tightened to the point where a chain wrench and socket will not get it off. The lockring has an outer serrated edge that can be groung off with an angle grinder until the serrations are off. Then the threaded portion will actually spin off by hand. The 11T sprocket may get sacrificed as well but no worries. Nice video, but I doubt I will ever be a fan of wireless components. Maybe on bike park trails...but not out where the buses don't run and the banjos play all day. LOL
I paused at the 4:32 mark. Folks out there who are watching...Seth didn't emphasize it, but watch how he puts the tire on WITH HIS HANDS ONLY, and not a tire lever. if you're really careful, you can use a lever for that last little bit, and get away without doing any damage to the rim tape that's in place to allow tubeless. BUT....using a lever is ALWAYS a bigger risk than pushing it on by hand, and you won't know you damaged your rim tape until you air up the tire, and NOTHING sucks worse than re-taping the rims in this procedure. So...it behooves you to practice learning how to get the bead of the tire pushed into the channel as far as possible, and pushing the tire on by hand! The alternative SUCKS. I will add this...if you're working with something like a DD casing, or DH casing...good luck. You better have a kung fu grip to get it pushed on, and that's one of those situations where you just have to roll the dice.

I will add this...if you're working with something like a DD casing, or DH casing...good luck. You better have a kung fu grip to get it pushed on, and that's one of those situations where you just have to roll the dice.
