Michael Lawruk he literally started on giant skateboards, thats why he rides those huge things today because that's what he started on in the 70s. Jason Lee rides those huge things also, as well as Mike V. I can't stand them but I can see why they love them.

The greats can ollie and boardslide their entire part and id be perfectly pleased. The true artform in its purist. IMO some of the non "tech/switch" heavy skaters have the best style imo Drehobl, speyer, alex olson, muska, theres so many ethan fowler etc endless there are somany forms of artistic aesthetically pleasing skaters that can do what some(that miss the art of it all) consider "simple/easy" tricks and blow at least my mind by making "simple" tricks so dope and some of my favorite lil clips or tricks in parts, teach you how to be a skater how to do a line if you suck and cant do a lot of flip trick links in lines or etc. Bc of these illustrious greats, HK my fave of all time. Theyre the types that encouraged me when went in my local park to "grind the entire flat bar" or entire ledge, not just a MM kiss of the end, to pop before im even next to a flat bar or funbox bar. and LEAP or fly into and land on it, with speed and fly out. BC its just damn proper and its harder to tap into the stoke of the session when your at the park seshing a kicker box, or flat bar, and eveyone is kissing it except you. And youre the only one popping before you get to the flat bar landing into boardlides, nollie lips, smiths etc. I hated smithing half way or the end of a rail. It felt like i was falling into a smith grind. I find myself yelling or telling myself cmon mofo, your never going to do it like them(the proper gods, or my idols). Lol front nose slide is probably my favorite trick on a kicker flat to hubba, or etc just that feeling of flying clearing the flat tossing that nose right into an INDY base plate hearing it scrape then pushing my toe into my nose/bolt/run area and doing a nice fat pop out or fat pop out to fakie, like i was HK. LOL esp to fakie looking down at the ground or behind me like i was HK sum bamf g type shit, even if its for a few seconds after i roll away lol. even switch boardslides to normal stance, sure mine look a bit sketchy but its so dank pop flying switch and falling into a switch front board or swithc bs board arms up flapping them to pop out lol or a switch wallie boardslide on the same kicker hubba.
