We may have vastly different perspectives about what the new administration portends, yet our hearts are eager to love and to be fertilized by "challenges"/"good things" (depending on your perspective). This video is a prayer from start to finish--every word ("Prayer is contemplating things from the highest point of view" -Emerson). (I'm not right wing. Love Jimmy Carter, AOC, Maxine Waters, JFK, etc.)
Optimism can only take us so far.. its important to take time to grieve. Then continue to fight the dark nature of our new leader. I'm not going back! 💪

When you began your talk, I thought your stated optimism was ill-timed. But my doubts shifted as your thoughts evolved and you cited the losses this election could mean for the our future. Particularly when you recited poem by Emma Lazarus that dons our Statue of Liberty, the words that express a fundamental essence of the American soul. We are living now, not in 1939. While the handwriting on the wall is dark and foreboding, the power of collective love in prayer and action is an unknowable force that could very well temper potentially anti-democratic forces in miraculous ways. His "servants", as you say, are e.g. RFK (always PRO HEALTHcare and UNITING the Nation, divided by liberals), and Musk (takes a gargantual task to OPTIMIZE overbudgeted government). Those are 2 most important things USA has to do along with influencing to end those terrible 2 ongoing wars America can not afford (financially and morally).

One small thing which saddens me is that those who are disappointed that Trump won (believe me, so am I), don't see that democracy in the US is dying a long slow death due to a corrupt and selfish system to which both parties protect. The "democratic" party have aligned themselves with oligarchs, warmongers & interests which are far away from the wellbeing of the people of US, or the planet. Grieving that they didnt win while ignoring that they are corrupted beyond recognition, and that this slump didnt suddenly happen in a vacuum, is ignoring the root and perpetuating the problem. I hope that this "election" highlights the rot that is American politics enough to stir people into positive actin & take back their country & power again. To me thats the blessing in all of this. I agree with you about congratulating them. I almost called a friend yesterday to do it, but It felt ingenuine, so I passed. I do feel like something wonderful is going to come out of this. Theres a bigger picture but we just don't know what it is yet!
