    I know it’s for TV but when you weld without gloves, with a polyester shirt, without treated cotton coveralls or PPE it sets a bad example and looks really amateur. I’m an industrial tradesman and no one welds anything that way.

And $600 to $700.00 for a set of forged pistons is not cheap as cast ones at all. SRP 468 bbc off the shelf 4032 forged pistons $656.00 a set. Cast pistons from say Engine Tech $160.00 a set.

      In addition, I'm not sure if OEM forged pistons are 2618 or 4032, but I would imagine that 4032 would be used in OEM high boost engines. The Mitsubishi Evo has 18 PSI or more of boost pressure without a problem.

    • @travisfisher2877
      @travisfisher2877 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      asambi69 whoever told you that is wrong and shouldn’t be building motors lol. I’ve ran forged and I’ve also ran the cheapest pistons I can find. It none have ever heard like a diesel. If they do it’s probably because there’s not enough clearance and the valves are hitting the pistons.

    • @karlsmith2570

    Brake cleaner is bleach and solvent, carb cleaner is Acetone and toluene, Acetone is Paint thinner as they all are.
    Safetyclean is mineral spirits - paint thinner, Ultrasound is really good -laundry detergent and water.
    All you need is Oven cleaner for engine casting that have heavy buildup ,then Mineral spirits, lastly Acetone is reserved for removing varnish in fuel system parts. All this stuff requires Safety equipment and Adequate ventilation which is outdoors. It is all bad for the nervous system , liver, skin . eyes, and everything else. Causes cancer in California for sure.
