Thank you father for all that you do; I have been reading your books and watching your videos through the past year, and they have helped me so much. Due to my health and partial disability, I am basically housebound, and your channel is a highlight of my week. My husband who formerly never prayed, now does Bible study and prayer with me every night, and then we finish by watching a couple of your videos; they strengthen us for the day ahead. May God bless you and your monastery, and I hope someday to be able to thank you personally when we are all gathered together in paradise.

My only consolation is that I know God will judge those who have committed this evil and have corrupted the entire world. These people think they have power, but they are self deceived. They have been granted this power for Gods own purposes. Their arrogance and pridefulness will be their downfall.

I just want to add the anger we feel when we see the attricities being committed are another deceptive tactic from the enemy, anger and hatred pull us away from God. We need to carefully guard our hearts and not let a root of bitterness rise us in us. Draw close to God and he will draw close to us, the grace of the Holy Spirit will fill our hearts with love and peace, and enables us to pray for our enemies. V
( :For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and the two shall become one flesh” (Gen 2:24).
I think it's not necessarily wrong to call your dad Father, but Jesus Fits into the place that you want to attribute Father to your true Father, who is your only father in heaven.
especially when you're all dead and taken by the rapture it says in heaven that neither will be married or taken into marriage and neither will there be like that have nationality like greek or Persian and it would make sense that you wouldn't have a dad or mum in heaven.
And to finish off you were really created all along by G@D the Father you're true father thus fitting to only call him your father!.

    • @SpartanGnome
      @SpartanGnome ปีที่แล้ว

@@rockybalbarian3003 I suppose you need to look at the greek texts which were written in Greek by paul, and I know greek words can have lots of meanings to them in how the sentence is written thus meaning more so parents proposition of father so like dad and mum rather than the Father God of all things.
-Also if you look at the text you'll find it's written in context to children so perhaps children have the biological dad and call him Father but then later develop to know G@D as the real Father so a bit like a pre-understanding or snippet of the spiritual and faithful understanding and learning of
      G@D The Father,
------ similar to how I would say a child first doesn't how numbers work but then through life experiences like counting money and parents teaching- the child then understands well about numbers or maths.
The child then grows and learns the real Father because the child or at that point adult- if following the will of the father will be a child of god and thus call G@D the Father, Jesus Christ says "all who do my Fathers will are my brothers and sisters", and we know Jesus as the son of God thus if were are the brothers and sisters of Jesus we are also then children of G@D and call G@D the Father.
it's also relating to the 4th commandment which was written long before Jesus Christ said to only call G@D the father, Also I think in Hebrew they only have the word Abba pronounced ah-bah which is Father and no dad alternative, they also spoke largely Aramaic in that region and I'm not sure about in Ephesians so thus don't know if they had an alternative word like a dad instead of Father thus paul needing to write father instead of dad or mum to be absolutely precise with the translation of that region maybe.
So to finish up, I say Paul doesn't contradict the bible but perhaps through shallow interpretation and non-understanding of the context and greek language we may find a faulty viewed contradiction of the bible

In this series I’m narrating events and miracles from the splendid life of Don Bosco. St John Bosco used to perform a miracle almost every day, through the intercession of Mary Help of Christians. From the lives of saints we can learn how to love God more and draw closer to him. Thank you

Truly loving other people, especially our enemies is easier said than done. I have a court case coming up in a month where I will stand before a man who raped me 32 years ago. Forgiveness .... REAL forgiveness... has been a very long journey. 9 years ago, the forgiveness happened and how it happened was knowing that God saw everything. I may not have earthly justice, but I am a child of God....and I fear for this man in death when he stands before the ultimate judge. Never thought I'd see the day he would get caught. Now he is (for someone else, earthly justice has passed for me) & I get the opportunity to tell him how it was I came to forgive him. I see his getting caught as a gift from God....for him. I genuinely feel, as a 70 year old man, God is still trying to reach him.

@@FancyTruth1 You're taking that verse out of context. According to the NKJV Orthodox Study Bible, "Jesus warns against calling hypocrites father and teacher. Far from being a prohibition against using these terms under any circumstances, it is a warning not to use them undeservedly. Both terms are used in the New Testament. "Father" is used in Luke 16:24; 1 Cor. 4:15; and Col3:21. In the earliest Christian communities, this term was applied to bishops and presbyters, because they represent the Father in the Church. "Teacher" is used in John 3:10; Acts 13:1; 1 Cor. 12:28; Eph. 4:11: and 2 Tim 1:11."
Here is the full context for the verse: In NKJV Matthew 23:2-12, the Lord states, "'(2) The scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. '(3) Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. '(4) For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with their fingers. '(5) But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. '(6) they love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, '(7) greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men 'Rabbi, Rabbi.' '(8) But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. '(9) Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. '(10) And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. '(11) But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. '(12) And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.'"
Furthermore, verses Matt 23:11-12 are incredibly important, as the Lord is stating that the greatest among us, the priests/pastors who are deserving of the title father/teacher through their humility, will be exalted, not reprimanded. The Lord also states that our priests/pastors are our servants, in the sense that they guide us down the path towards and God and salvation.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Before NSW was Locked Down, I used to attend the TLM, I felt the Presence of God in that Church, my face was awashed with my tears. Then NSW was Shut and that Church is Closed. I got into Confession yesterday morning at a Novus Ordo Church in Victoria before it too has Closed. I have been dissatisfied with the direction Catholicism is going-even before the Lock-Downs. Since you haven't come to the proper understanding in this matter, give your heart and understanding to Orthodoxy, and you shall be amazed at what great things there are to learn! Read a few comments below, and maybe you'll find more things of interest. Be careful about thinking you can easily understand the Scriptures and make a blanket statement from one verse. Thank you Fr. This brought tears to my eyes. I have fallen away from the church. Please pray for the lost souls who have abandoned the church. I still love Christ with all my heart. The church of today leaves much to be desired. My soul is repelled by it and I try to go back but I hurt so bad inside and just can’t find any comfort in going. May the Lord have mercy on our souls. Thank you for being a light in the darkness.

Why orthodox faith but not simple Christian faith? for Paul says in Scripture that there is one Faith, one Baptisms, One God and One LORD? There is no denomination in the body of Christ, no traditions but the ones of the apostles.

    • @thekingofsomewhere

@@j-0-k-3-r In the Orthodox view, Orthodox Christianity _is_ the simple Christian faith. We don't think of ourselves as a denomination, because the Church was there before denominations were created. We think of ourselves as "pre-denominational" so to speak, the Church which keeps the apostolic tradition.

Ephesians 6:10-18 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
