Its is not devil dogs fault, the AI pathfinding is faltered and you will notice he was also on a stairwell. Also AI react more to sound recognition than noticing impacts and at that distance the AI didn't stand a chance even though he did miss his first few shots.

turning it off allows you to see the AI that a sunk into the ground at distance

Hey is there any open servers for A3 that is one big "Campaign" where you can jump on at any time and take part in a few ops against enemies? I'm not a big fan of the whole process to join anybody through forums. No, not that crap where you jump in a heli, fly to the circle and kill everybody there then rinse and repeat.
