We follow a father, mother and their two sons (one young adult, the other less than ten years old and very noisy), who are on their way to a mysterious appointment, somewhere deep in the mountains near the Turkish border. Fond memories alternate with the fear of the unknown and the uncertain future…
With visual humor and a prominent soundtrack, which combines Bach and nostalgic Iranian pop songs, the film paints a sensitive portrait of a family desperately trying to postpone the pain of an approaching goodbye.

Over the course of the trip, they bond over memories of the past, grapple with fears of the unknown, and fuss about their sick dog. Unspoken tensions arise and the film builds emotional momentum as it slowly reveals the furtive purpose for their journey. The result is a humanist drama that offers an authentic, raw, and deeply sincere observation of an Iranian family preparing to part with one of their own.
