En kärleksfull men kaotisk familj är på en bilresa genom ett bergigt landskap. I baksätet sitter pappan med benet i gips, men är benet verkligen brutet? This song is called "Diyar" by Iranian pop icon Shahram Shabpareh, describing being away from your home, your country or nation. He wrote this song while the King Mohamad Reza Pahlavi👑 left Iran in 1979. Shahram Shabpareh's music was produced in LA, but banned in Iran (still is) after 1979. But there's not one party, wedding, or gathering where Iranians don't play his songs and sing along. So it's cool seeing his song in a movie.

I was a boy just a little older when this song came out. We used to have a lot of fun listening to it and dancing to it with our friends . I left my country a few years after that, still a teeanger. Little did I know that someday the lyrics of the song would match the story of my life. Those around my age with similar fate can understand. There is a lot in this short scene that I can deeply relate to.
