I dunno how to feel about Engineers running onto the map to place fortifications and then retreating. I think I prefer the method of bringing engineers into the battle and then having them place fortifications by equipping them from their inventory or using an ability to place things. I do like how the fortifications work though, the communication trenches have got to be my favorite thing considering how many guys i've lost in other games that decided to jump out of trenches that are connected just to get shot when they could have taken a communication trench instead. There is a lot of negativity around this game atm but the only real problem I see with this game was the always online functionality. It's otherwise a pretty decent game.
I like the quick and easy fortification placement, because in MoW 1 & Gates of Hell, it's a hassle to place down defenses. You would have to go through 1. Find & select your engineer 2. Move your camera to where you want the defense placed down 3. Click the build button 4. Place down fortification While in MoW 2 it gets simplified down to 3rd and 4th step. Although it would be better if I still have the ability to send in the engineer and have them act just like MoW 1 engineers.
You can manually place anything that isnt a building if you bring in units that carry the various things like barbedwire or mines or even hedgehogs. You just have to figure out what trucks have them onboard. Engies will to it all MUCH faster though (as in they literally dig a trench faster, etc) Oh, and to further confuse matters, some units like the American T16 APC with troops inside not only delivers a mixed squad, it is full of mines, hedgehogs, remote bombs, an AT rifle, OH and it can also just build a single small dugout (slowly).
Engineers, Combat Engis, Medics can be in ANY echelon and you can use them at any point in the game. If you have 10 engi in E1 and 10 in E3, you start the game with 20 Engis that can do stuff. You can hover over the unit icon diamond for easier placement of infantry inside buildings and vehicles. Trenches can curve with Alt. SOME of the smallest crew weaponry (like the little 2man MGuns) can actually deploy inside a trench! double-click move WILL make your troops jump out of the trench even if there is a safe connector. So click once for inter-trench movement. Camo netting speeds the time it takes to hide again after shooting. It also makes you invisible to scout planes!
@@roosterbooster6238 when you have alive medics in any echelon, from the start of match your infantry have a chance to be downed instead of die when "killed". It seems like it is around 30-50‰ (around 100% in the radius of a medical vehicle, which doesn't heal btw). They get a blood drop over their head (while they are not in enemy controlled territory, have not tested, MIGHT have to be inside YOUR controlled territory or the radius of a medic car). Mouse over them with no unit selected and you get a medical cross cursor. A medic will spawn nearby and move to pick up the wounded then retreat the battlefield. They will shoot on the way in and CAN die. Once retreated the saved unit goes on cooldown and multiples of the same type fill up squads. Engineering Battalions can do all of this for allies as well.
do you happen to have a video how a squad can loot the boxes / corpses as a whole not a lone soldier, would love to have less micromanagement of having individual soldier to pick up say mg and then give one to another and etc. Time consuming
I think it's pretty disingenuous to say that the game was "unfairly review bombed by GoH idiot fan club" considering this a men of war game people reviewed it based on it being a mow title - which this doesn't feel like. Many have stated AS2 has a more interesting game loop never mind Gates of hell.
I haven't played much GoH, but from what I have been seeing from the MoWII videos it honestly feels like GoH is more like older MoW titles than MoWII. I am having a hard time finding someone with an objective opinion that is a veteran of the older titles (I have been playing since the first MoW). I do have some major issues with GoH, speciaally regarding performance, but I am really unsure about the new MoWII.

what i dislike about men of war, is how easily vehicles and tanks explode, AI almost never takes cover, he just rushes with infantry and dies, the expositions look visually worse than Assault Squad 2 if Im not mistaken..

Man of war 1 there are mods for this. They just copied the code of the mods changed a few things to avoid the infringement laws and put a number 2 behind the game and sell it to us.
@@SodalTheHorse You do you, man. The devs being on the consistent defense - literally responding to every review - shows they know they fucked up. They asked for feedback from the community and listened to absolutely none of it. Why ask for feedback when you eventually just say fuck off? Doesn't make sense.
@@dudeguybro This is not true at all. I quickly checked the review page and they absolute aren't responding to every review. They do however created a community post responding to concerns within the game and they also have listened to the feedbacks they have gotten in public playtests.

Thanks! Part twoooooooo
The thing I always wanted in Gates of Hell is better trenches and fortifications. MoW2 got nice trenches
I like the trenches and building. Would love to build a huge trench system for fun like in Foxhole.

In a dynamic campaign mission where you have to wipe out five outposts and defend your own the medics don’t seem to work for me.

I’ve been playing this since Faces of War
And yet am still learning new things 😅
It will be nice if you make a tutorial about saboteurs
fun tip you don't have to get out of the crate or supply truck you can hit x or hit the eye Butten to transfer stuff from the inventory
Added to Playlist, perfect.
this game got bad reviews but it looks better than Coh3.
the bad reviews are mostly for silly things; it's way better than any rts so far; it has a lot of stuff going.
謝謝你的分享,這些情報對新手很有用呢

How do you get into test mode?
cara, esse jogo esta muito bem feito e completo
eles melhoraram muito com base nas versões anteriores
Awesome video, MOWII got unfairly reviewed bombed by the GOH idiot fan club, love that game as well, though both have their respective qualities.
Its slowly getting better as more people actually play it. Went from 51% good to 56% good.

Hi guys, can you tell me if this game has an editor? and can you play with the editor like the first version of the game??
То есть в огромный бетонный бункер нельзя засунуть пулемёт? Обалдеть. Зато в малюсенькую будку которая упадёт под весом пулемёта можно ставить...

hans you really love to upload at midnights (in north america) huh...
It’s not midnight everywhere else in the world 😉.
@HelpingHans could you share how to activate test mode? Cant find anything online or in game
Lobby, classic mode on, then check down bottom right for advanced. Should be able to select test mode from the drop down list.
Hmm, the graphics looks like something from 2005

Show me the mod for this trenches buddy
Oh Hans... Man. Don't succumb to supporting this game. Lol. It's simply Men of War Arena that you have to pay for
You clearly haven't played Arena, Men of War II, or either of them if you can say that both games are identical...
