After watching this, I like to imagine a potential moveset for Mega Man X in a Smash Bros game. He has so many weapons to choose from to create such an exciting character. Hopefully one day.

Megaman X 1-3 Some of the weapons in that game has some niche to them over the Charged X-buster (Megaman X3 buster upgrade is the worst by far because it's so clunky and stiff), but from X4 and onwards, the Charged buster like the Plasma shot in X4 & X5 or X8 Icarus buster parts example and etc is so strong that is not worth using the special weapons other than the boss fights, though X5 using weakness on the bosses (very likely the maverick boss fights), they take so long for invulnerability/invincibility state that it's not even worth it, Wheel Gator is another prime example where if u hit with Strike Chain Weakness, he will go into the water and hide himself and lengthen rinse repeat pattern again which drags the fight out, unless u are that skilled in timing your strike chain attacks well before he dives in due to his wonky hitbox. While X7 is the worst/weakest among the X series, the weapons itself needs a lot getting used to but Volt Tornado, Charged version of Splash Laser, Explosion (if u are very skilled enough to use close range on enemies and especially boss fights) and I guess circle blaze are the few best weapons in this game but again the weapon energy consumption is a big issue.

I think Megaman X weapons is superior to the other next game because most of the weapon in this game have actual usefulness and make you want to use it rather than the x buster when the other game in most situation you can just use x buster and the other weapon is not that useful

Yeah they really began to not really care about anything other than the X buster. Everything just got nonsensical with how little they cared. You get like 50 uses of weapons that you'll use once WITHOUT any upgrades
That was after X2. And what wasn't bad after X2 just was bad looking or uninteresting or uncreative. And at least X3 could be kinda forgiven because of the tight yearly production schedule, that didn't give much time for planning, but after that point it was hard to defend sequels coming with less interesting and less creative weapons overall.

In the whole MM + MMX series many weapons are bad. And when they aren't bad they are bland or uncreative. And the weapons were overall worse by the time the sequels used to come out too quick, like the Nes MM games and Snes MMX games. There was no time for MMX2-3 to match the great creativity of X1.
From the snes trilogy x1 had the best selection of weapon. Then comes the playstation trilogy in which i believe that x5 has the best weapon selection. as for x7 and x8, i'm not really sure on those two
I say X6 is worse because of the bullshit level design, and all of the bosses in Gate's lab (Minus Sigma) being both tedious and frustrating to fight against. Oh, and keeping the Armor System from the X5. Don't get me wrong, X7 is bad too, but the reason it failed was because it tried something new that simply didn't work out (3D gameplay in it's case), which they learned their lesson in the following game (X8). X6 however felt like it was made terrible on purpose, possibly out of Spite towards Inafune back when he still worked at Capcom (Not helped by the fact that X6 wasn't even supposed to exist to begin with). Basically, it's pick your poison between X6 and X7. At least X8 was good (it's a shame though that the bad reputation of the two games prior had a negative impact on it's sales).
X1-2 have the most creative ideas overall, 1 being better than 2. And since X3 the weapon start getting tricky but lacking power. And also become less creative, mainly since X4, and it keeps getting worse till the end.

From the snes trilogy x1 had the best selection of weapon. Then comes the playstation trilogy in which i believe that x5 has the best weapon selection. as for x7 and x8, i'm not really sure on those two

God...megaman X7 SSUUUUUUUX besides the low fps I played it and its really bad
I say X6 is worse because of the bullshit level design, and all of the bosses in Gate's lab (Minus Sigma) being both tedious and frustrating to fight against. Oh, and keeping the Armor System from the X5. Don't get me wrong, X7 is bad too, but the reason it failed was because it tried something new that simply didn't work out (3D gameplay in it's case), which they learned their lesson in the following game (X8). X6 however felt like it was made terrible on purpose, possibly out of Spite towards Inafune back when he still worked at Capcom (Not helped by the fact that X6 wasn't even supposed to exist to begin with).
Basically, it's pick your poison between X6 and X7. At least X8 was good (it's a shame though that the bad reputation of the two games prior had a negative impact on it's sales).
X1-2 have the most creative ideas overall, 1 being better than 2. And since X3 the weapon start getting tricky but lacking power. And also become less creative, mainly since X4, and it keeps getting worse till the end.
