Love Jordan and hope this lesson thing works out for him. Have seen him hawking Sample Tank, Omnisphere, that little CME thingy, and other products. Maybe Dream Theatre should pay him more.
I love Dream Theatre it has been my favorite band for years! Thank you Jordan for sharing! I’m going to practice this technique until my fingers fall off….. lol
Can you do a video on building tension with chords. For example, if you’re producing a song how can you make the chords build and how can you add variations?
At music college (too many years ago now to mention 😂) we used to make up exercises like that to test ourselves. Really good way to build up finger dexterity.
I’ve tried exercises in which you hold down some fingers while lifting (playing) with others, and it hurt, perhaps sprained some tendons in my fingers!! What went wrong and how do I alleviate this?
30 days to better technique is best guided piano technique cost that will have that will have you playing with a world class instructor - Jordan Rudess.
This is good exercise. But I have tried hard to get finger control, without success. I am sure such a level of finger independence requires you start exercise at very young age.
I managed to do it, but the first few days were very intense. I believe I activated a brain-finger response I had never experienced before, and it was almost painful. However, if you keep trying and stretch regularly, it gets easier over time. And to add, I started playing in my 30s.
Beginner keyboards do NOT need to be expensive. I started playing on my dads old, cheap keyboard that was in the attic that he had since before i was born. Look online. Casio and yamaha have plenty of cheap keyboards that are great for you to start learning. And then maybe with time you might want to buy something more expensive as you progress on the instrument. Tldr: dont let money be the reason you dont start playing piano if its truly something you're passionate about. Theres plenty of affordable options
Well then buy a cheaper one and stop whining. If this is the level you're at, still training your finger independence, you don't need a $3000 instrument.

OMG NOT FAIR!!! I have been playing for decades and i don’t think my dingers can do that! Ugh but i wish they did! Amazing man!
I'm surprised to see Jordan on the channel. I love him !
It's actually not his first time here. Look at (not so) older videos
He already featured a good bunch of videos on this channel.
No trace of hyperbole but i've genuinely never seen a more skilled pianist / keyboard player in a band. Can shred on guitar too.

Love the tutorial. There are baseline Hanon Excercises. A must-do for those who want to take piano to the next level

Jordan is not a keyboardist, he's a magician.

Incredible 🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏
Jordan Rudess🔥👌
Skill level ridiculous 😮
Me, a beginner watching this: Oh, I see. Just draw the rest of the owl. Got it.
Way hard!
This teaser exercise is already too difficult to do !!
You and me both ... however something to aspire and aim for then once you have finger memory you should be able to play almost anything ... cheers
You can start it with a single finger as well, which is a little easier.

Wow, cool
I was frantically looking for the LOVE button.
What if fingers don't fit between keys?
you are my god
It’s an excellent exercise but the most important is to keep relax with your wrist!
It’s a very old exercise : see Liszt studies or Brahms…
Are you also Scott Ian from the band Anthrax???
how about F# ?
זה מדהים
❤
🤩
@@PianoteOfficialcan you teach us how to play Rush E 2?
😮
I managed to do the first exercise what she showed but i felt extreme tension on my wrist and not it hurts a bit, is that normal😂
Cm6 on the left hand is very difficult for me... 😫

Piano Fight Warrior Final Boss .

He has big hands I don’t have them 😢
Is this even possible? My 345 fingers lift no matter how hard I press 4 down.

Sir, please Hindi translation sir I request you
This is one of those exercises where I just wanna chop of my hands, because they feel like useless ballast :(
Uuuh... Banjo Kazooie?
All I think when I see that is there’s no way I get there
Practice.......
pretty sure my pinky doesnt reach that far
isn't mirroring easy for your hands
Smoll hands tho 😭

it's a bummer your
fingers
Tausig exercise
first
or just play Bach....
Pianote reached out to Bach, but no answer.
@@leeDs718 luckily his music still exists.
Bach, Hanon, Czerny…or Jordan works
Nope😢....this is Alien stuff
what if you don't have $3000 for an instrument though

You can get a fully weighted Yamaha P-35 for $350 brand new. It’s great for learning/home use
You're out of luck. The ability to do that with your fingers starts on units $2500 and up.
Well then buy a cheaper one and stop whining. If this is the level you're at, still training your finger independence, you don't need a $3000 instrument.
You can even do kind of similar exercise on the table. :)
Dumb and unecessary exercises that, without supervision, can lead to serious injuries.
?!?!!?
