My spin numbers and spin axis numbers are all way off indoors. I took mine outside today and the numbers were spot on outside. The mats at my club are very firm the mats in my garage are a divot action material with a lot of foam.
The mat should have no affect really unless the shot is fat etc. Now turf does tend to reduce spin a bit but not a ton and I’ve never seen any spin axis issues indoors. Do you have other turf to just text and see?

One thing you could really help me with is showing if the GCQ can run E6 and TGC2020. I thought no but heard some got it running. For me not being able to play E6 and TGC2020 is the main reason why the Uneekor EYE XO is currently nr 1 on my list.

Great demo! I will be looking forward to future videos. We are in the middle of house construction now and have planned to utilize GC4 in the build. Adding any comments or wisdom on simulator builds that would make the use of GC4 more enjoyable would also be welcome.

Such a great video, but I have a big question, might you help me explain? Is it normal that Foresight doesn't have specific number of club? ie: Iron 7,8,9? Or do we only need club sticker to cover it?

Hey Jay, I just finished my sim build and went with a qc quad as well . Absolutely incredible, love it. Just a heads up my first night using it a static shock from my finger fried the mother board and had to be shipped back to be replaced , I almost cried. Thankfully foresite bumped me to the front of the line and I got it back in less than a week. Question, how did you set up a camera with it ? I would love to do so .... Adam
Wow that’s crazy. I use just a Logitech brio plug and play or my swing Catalyst system. The FSX software will work with any web camera windows recognized or they have a few they can advise you of for drivers that work. Thanks for watching
We just purchased the quad monitor. Is there a chart on where to put the reflective dots for hybrids, driver, and woods? Also, the club path, loft, face ti target, etc is showing on the screen with straight lines (no data). How do I get that information to register? Thank you.
Hi great content.Quick question, is it possible to play golf courses at the range? I don’t have room for a sim and I’m currently using a flight scope Xi tour with an iPad at the range ,but would be nice to play some courses, any ideas, many thanks.
Will this unit be damaged with a bad shank. I'm more concerned about guests than anything. Is there a cage that can protect the cameras? Is this the only unit the sits to opposite side of the golfer that provides club head data? I don't think there is any other unit that does club data with the unit in that position?
They are made to take quite the hit if it ever happened. When placing a ball at the front of the hitting area it would take almost a full horizontal shank to hit the unit. But, they do make protective cases if this is something that concerns you. The only other side unit I am aware of that does full club data is their previous generation GC2 with the HMT add on.
Sure you can play rounds with them on. Now, if a tournament was picking like the PGA tour did one time, they could say it’s non conforming to have them on during tournament play.

Hey Jay, thanks for the videos! I am shopping around and I’d love to see a video of the dot placement on the club in order capture all club data. I believe it is 4 dots on each club? If they aren’t placed correctly, does this skew data? Is it an easy process? Do they move over time? Also, are there any additional costs for club and putting data with the Quad? I’ve heard that it starts around $14k and with everything it is around $21k (club, putting, FSX). Lastly, what do you think about the manual alignment with the stick? I don’t trust my old eyes personally!
I thought I showed them in this video? I show them in many videos. 4 dots. 3 towards the tow and 1 towards the heel. Yes you are close on coats but I can get discounts for my viewers. Just email me. You mention the Quad capture 6,000 frames per second while the GC2 advertises 10,000 frames per second. Either way both have very high FPS. Can you share the hi res pics you mention of the Quad capturing the ball data? I would love to see that.

I am planning to purchase a quad before may, but do you know anything about the regional lock ? Currently I am in the states and moving abroad later this year, will the device or its software will be an issue or locked ?
You can use any webcamera that works with windows or a few supported cameras from imaging source. I have since installed Swing Catalyst that supports the FLIR Blackfly S USB and I just run the SC software on another monitor when on FSX range it is really nice. Do you have to have the putting analysis to putt or is that just a feature to see how you’re putting? Seems like almost a waste if it’s just to analyze the stroke of your putt because it could be just added into the club analysis.

I know the GCQuad2 is at the top but looking for the best bang for your buck. Unless the GCquad 2 is the one I’d be looking for. Is there a USB camera that you would recommend to use with this? I have the sim in a box and love it and thanks for your videos now looking to get a good camera to integrate with it.
I will be doing a review of the Swing Catalyst system shortly which fully integrates. Pretty sure it is the best and preferred setup outside of a generic USB camera like I have shown in the past like the Brio. If you want nice clean no blur video it will take a system like that. I will hopefully have the video up soon the cameras just got ordered and should ship soon.

Hi Kevin, You can use either Wifi or Bluetooth but you must have a connection or there would be no way for the data to be send from the GCQuad to the iPad. Both work great from my experience thus far. I also really like the built in screen. It gives you club and ball data including the ball impact point on the club face. As far as ball flight like I think you are mentioning you would want to use FSX Mobile for this on iPhone or iPad etc. You then have full ball flight and visual data, etc. I will be doing a FSX Mobile video soon.

Which simulator would you say has the best graphics (FSX, Virtual Golf 2, E6, HD Golf) ? Been trying to see all simulators play same course (St Andrews or Pebble) as a control variable haven't found anything.
That’s almost impossible to answer Alex, that is why I try to demonstrate them all so much so people can get their own fee and opinion. They all have great positives and little negatives. Personally I take ball characteristics over anything else. So I’m probably not even a good opinion on graphics alone. But I would strongly advise you pay attention to ball characteristics if you are looking hard at graphics. Even try to find a balance you like. I hope that makes sense. 🍻
No it does not have tempo. But stay tuned I’m adding swing catalyst they not only triggers and pulls in quad data, it has tempo and weight and balance etc. I will have a discount connection as well.

dont waste money on the trackman......unless it significantly adds to the channel. my opinion trackman simulator is way overated and too expensive. ive played on a few different setups to know indoor setup its less accurate not more than others and putting is iffy at best and really bad shots are not accurate.
Are you using Bluetooth or wifi? What software. Anytime it's easy to do I always use usb. It's just easy and super reliable. Wifi and Bluetooth can be troublesome with any device here and there not just GCQuad. I will say thought I don't have many issues.
@@GolfSimulatorVideos tried all connections,,when I first started playing I got through9 holes..then 3 holes and now 1 shot..it disconnects I will wait for it to reconnect to no avail. Go to device and try to reconnect again to no avail. Have to back all the way out and I can only play one shot again.
Yes, I actually have 2! I really enjoy the putting. I also know a few local instructors that use the putting for lessons and fittings. It takes setting it up properly but the data is great.

Benefits for Trackman is they have the internet built in so I don’t need Wi-Fi but GCQUAD, I have to have Wi-Fi. More ball data for Trackman vs GCQUAD. Cost GCQUAD is one time fee but Trackman charges 2k every year. Any advice?

We are setting up are simulater with are mevo plus and e6 golf. How far back should are overhead prejector be from our screen
It’s all dependent on the projector, throw ratio, screen size etc.

No you CAN putt in sim software without the putting add on. It’s for coaching and fitting. Shows more ball data too like skid, roll, etc.

I know the GCQuad2 is at the top but looking for the best bang for your buck. Unless the GCquad 2 is the one I’d be looking for. I live in northern MN so I get maybe get 5 months out of the year if I’m lucky to golf outside.

Is there a USB camera that you would recommend to use with this? I have the sim in a box and love it and thanks for your videos now looking to get a good camera to integrate with it.
I will be doing a review of the Swing Catalyst system shortly which fully integrates. Pretty sure it is the best and preferred setup outside of a generic USB camera like I have shown in the past like the Brio. If you want nice clean no blur video it will take a system like that. I will hopefully have the video up soon the cameras just got ordered and should ship soon.

When you use the GCQ on an outdoor range do you have to have WiFi in order to connect this to an iPad to visualize your shots?
Hi Kevin, You can use either Wifi or Bluetooth but you must have a connection or there would be no way for the data to be send from the GCQuad to the iPad. Both work great from my experience thus far. I also really like the built in screen. It gives you club and ball data including the ball impact point on the club face. As far as ball flight like I think you are mentioning you would want to use FSX Mobile for this on iPhone or iPad etc. You then have full ball flight and visual data, etc. I will be doing a FSX Mobile video soon.

If you get the GCQuad without the FSX software and the clubhead analysis what can it do?

Which simulator would you say has the best graphics (FSX, Virtual Golf 2, E6, HD Golf) ?
Been trying to see all simulators play same course (St Andrews or Pebble) as a control variable haven't found anything.
That’s almost impossible to answer Alex, that is why I try to demonstrate them all so much so people can get their own fee and opinion. They all have great positives and little negatives. Personally I take ball characteristics over anything else. So I’m probably not even a good opinion on graphics alone. But I would strongly advise you pay attention to ball characteristics if you are looking hard at graphics. Even try to find a balance you like. I hope that makes sense. 🍻

Does the GC tell you your backswing is too fast?
No it does not have tempo. But stay tuned I’m adding swing catalyst they not only triggers and pulls in quad data, it has tempo and weight and balance etc. I will have a discount connection as well.

dont waste money on the trackman......unless it significantly adds to the channel. my opinion trackman simulator is way overated and too expensive. ive played on a few different setups to know indoor setup its less accurate not more than others and putting is iffy at best and really bad shots are not accurate.
Having a problem with the quad disconnecting
Are you using Bluetooth or wifi? What software. Anytime it's easy to do I always use usb. It's just easy and super reliable. Wifi and Bluetooth can be troublesome with any device here and there not just GCQuad. I will say thought I don't have many issues.
@@GolfSimulatorVideos tried all connections,,when I first started playing I got through9 holes..then 3 holes and now 1 shot..it disconnects I will wait for it to reconnect to no avail. Go to device and try to reconnect again to no avail. Have to back all the way out and I can only play one shot again.
@@michaelgangale366 only thing I can think of is a possible Wi-Fi issue on the hardware itself I would call in a ticket right away

Do you still have GCQUAD? If you do how do you think about putting software you purchased?
Yes, I actually have 2! I really enjoy the putting. I also know a few local instructors that use the putting for lessons and fittings. It takes setting it up properly but the data is great.

Benefits for Trackman is they have the internet built in so I don’t need Wi-Fi but GCQUAD, I have to have Wi-Fi. More ball data for Trackman vs GCQUAD. Cost GCQUAD is one time fee but Trackman charges 2k every year. Any advice?
Also do you prefer to purchase software for putting from GCQUAD or do you prefer to purchase putting specific machine?
