    The ones who smile the most, should always be kept so close.
    For their smile is sunshine, blinding you from noticing their inner rain.

    true depression isn't feeling sad its more than that you wanna feel better but can't the mental causes you to feel physically drained and life just seems like the impossible. its a dark fucking place trust me I know. when everyday you just wanna go back to sleep and stay asleep and have no will to live is the worst possible feeling. Mental health has begun to be a trendy thing but mental illness is not cool its not fun and it sucks ass

    • @localjoe
      @localjoe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      I feel this a lot of people self diagnose anxiety and depression when they are scared or sad but I feel like that takes away attention from people who are really up against it. Hope you are doing ok my man if you ever need anything reach out. Feel like it's easier to talk with strangers sometimes.

    I called suicide hotline when I was going through shit and they didn’t help at all. All they did was ask where I was and what I was doing. Not a good place to reach out in my opinion.

    • @PHeMoX
      @PHeMoX 3 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      That's because most people are completely terrible at talking, let alone listening and most people who are part of those hotlines are not psychologists at all. A lot of times that hotline serves more for police to check in on people, than providing people any 'real' help. And that's pretty bad, because the few people that do call such hotlines are probably the few people that want to be helped. Unfortunately, a lot of people _don't_ want to be helped. Their suicide is pretty much inevitable unfortunately. And last but not least, the only person who can make real change to your life, is going to be yourself. People don't get told this often enough. And suicidal people often claim to 'see no other way out', when actually suicide is never a solution. I'm not religious, people should do whatever they feel like. But thinking a suicide will change something is just dumb. A guy like Henry had dozens of years ahead of skating, lot's of cool things in his future. Yet he bailed on everything. That's so incredibly sad man. So pointless. And who knows what he has been telling himself to justify his action. Must have been pretty crazy stuff. It reminds me of a friend of mine who always basically complained he felt too alone. When I explained him the only way to meet other people was to invest in some hobbies and go out, it took a while for that friend to realise he was creating his own lonely situation. Now, 4 years later the guy is engaged to a very nice girl and he will probably have a family with most of the bad vibes gone completely in the near future.

      Yo I feel this big time. No matter the cards you are dealt they are your cards and you need to learn to play them. I don't say that to condemn anyone thats struggling but it's just the objective truth. As soon as a person realizes they the main character in their own story they have to decide if they are going to level the fuck up or just give up.

    • @PHeMoX
      @PHeMoX 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@localjoe Exactly true. And yes, the cards might be different, there is plenty of opportunity in life to really change things for the better. And sometimes it takes a realisation of what you got already. People are often to busy with other people their lives and successes, instead of caring about their own life.

Everything blurs up and you feel strong, constant, dull pain and lack of air... I think that the only thing that kept me here is my belief in reincarnation. You can pull yourself out of here, but lesson is not learned and you will come back to struggle this one more time to figure it out and find love in you. Love is the key to everything. That is really crucial to someone who feels they cant reach out to anyone around them.

    I literally live for the homies who wanna die. Because one of my homies is on the same wave length of depression as me and he always hears and understands my dramatic ass when I’m in the depths. We have to talk about the monster that is depression if we want that monster to be less scary. Everyone deals with this shit and if you haven’t yet you will lose someone someday who will make you understand. Just hang on and eventually you’ll be back to feeling like yourself again.
