Ahhh the Old Manor, the venue of choice in my late teens and happy memories they were too. Then we all went off to uni....but the christmas holidays brought us all back together, down 'the Manor. Gosh that was over 30yrs ago. I haven't been there in years
Glad you did this review! I didn’t think it looked too bad considering it’s Weatherspoon’s! Stuffing looked great. At least you was able to get a Xmas dinner after the disappointment of Morrisons.
I don't think I will be having a Spoons Christmas dinner in the build up to the big day this year as that looked poor. Has be roast potatoes instead of mash and needs to have a Yorkshire pudding on the plate. That turkey looked like the sliced stuff out of a packet. Good video to show people what you get for your money. 👍
@@PeterChelmsford yeah I agree, filled a hole but I will stand by that Stuffing Ball being amazing. We serve the same turkey slices on our customer Christmas parties and it tastes just as bland, cranberry sauce and stuffing ball were my two big positives
Hey lee, new subscriber here 😁 really enjoyed your video but it did look poor for a xmas dinner and that gravy looked anemic & far to thin lol..Gotta be thick & dark gravy for me..Keep up the fantastic work Xxx
Thank you that means a lot, I try to get to the point but I don't have the greatest vocabulary so I often wonder if I repeat the same stuff over again lol, I'll try to better myself in future
True I agree but I'm not knocking it, it was average food, stuffing I was very lucky with I thought it was great. Building, staff and drink was amazing. It's a shame the two big Spoons in my town don't have that kind of character, just big buildings in the town centre, I would frequent this one very often if I was a Bracknell resident
Price was £13.52 with a beer of your choice, lots of choice on the app Or if soft drink is your thing, £11.99 Was disappointed that they went for mash over roast potatoes and, no sprouts and Yorkshire pudding But if they did have sprouts, would have been the same temp as the other veg so, dodged a potential bullet there
You may want to try the Victoria Cross Christmas dinner, we had it on Sunday, and compared to their Roast dinner it is £3 extra, but you don't get the mash, 3 Brussels sprouts and 1 pig in a blanket. However, if you order the normal turkey roast and order the side from the Christmas menu for £3 you get a greater dinner and more worth the money.
@@optomistic1 I am thinking of doing a Greene King at some point, the only reason I wouldn’t do the Victoria Cross is, I did their Mixed Grill a while back. I actually go there often after my one afternoon shift in the week for a couple of drinks. I really like the layout there and the staff are great, but I try not to do one location multiple times
I agree and it is a shame because, the building itself was amazing. As far as Spoons goes, location great, drinks great, food kind of mid. However, much better than the 2 in Reading town centre, they don’t have much character
you followed on from Gary eats, and his opinion was that food would ruin your Christmas. it looked disgusting..you get what you pay for I guess. he gave it a very generous 3 out of 10...

A perfect sentence to describe Spoons I think 😂
The pub itself looks great. Nice atmosphere. Congrats on getting to 3,000. I will be tuning in again!
Good times ahead for you and Harry.
Absolute legends you are.

I enjoyed it. Merry Christmas all
@@iamtheeggman1986 thank you and merry Christmas to you too
Thanks, might check out my local Spoons and see how it compares, very similar I imagine!
Hi Lee, the plate looked so impressive, shame about the Turkey! At least the stuffing was good :) congrats on 3k 🎉
Thank you so much it means a lot! On to 10k and beyond I hope.
@ who doesn’t love a ranga lol, that’s what we call gingers here.
3k!!! Congratulations 🎉🎉

Great value but missing two essentials ....roasties and sprouts
Missing your new reviews bro
Your channel is strangely addictive, in a nice way.

Weatherspoons what you expect 😂

It's been over 12 months since i watched you last and really surprised your subs haven't gone up much ?
Maybe due to lack of uploads. I took a long break and was on a schedule of one video a month for a while.

I never understand why people slag spoons off its a Bargain especially in todays world
It's not a bargain if its horrible and other independent little places manage to produce better quality for less. Spoons is having a laugh!

Looks half decent but should include roast spuds and sprouts and obviously be hot.lnteresting review 👍.
Yeah and I’m annoyed I didn’t clock onto it, Christmas dinner with no sprouts and I’m sure the one I did 2 years back was mashed potato as well
Looked disappointing compared with Toby. I like my meal to be piping hot it would have been sent back if it was me. What can you expect for the money,

@@michaelmccooey5500 I want to do more but it’s when we can go. I’ve used all my holiday so it won’t be until 2025 summer at the earliest
Sure it will be worth the wait have a great Christmas
@@TheWandererTravelVlogs do you follow Yoshimyan? She visited a very interesting World Heritage site yesterday.
Need roast potatoes.
All wetherspoons are different I think it all depends who's cooking maybe if you went in another spoons it might be different
