I bet most of that meal was from the freezer and probably aunt bessies frozen roast potatoes . I gave up going for roast dinner in pubs they taste awful and the veg is always crunchy like its not cooked properly 🤢

The last time I ate there was Mother's Day when I ordered a roast dinner, it was cold so they took it away and brought it back a while later, still cold. The one before that was totally inedible, you couldn't push your fork into the carrots or the broccoli so got refund and left. I won't go back in there to eat, ever

Dish washing machines sometimes leave on crud, you can't beat hand washing up with a stiff brush, squirting water at dried on food often leaves it on there. We will never own a dish washing machine. Gaz Yorkshire
It looked to me like an average mass produced frozen meal, the sort you see plated up in a supermarket chilled section. Sadly this has become the norm in many places, it was always just frozen desserts but now it’s frozen mains as well ☹️
Hope you and the Blonde Angel didn’t end up with food poisoning Lee . A friend of mine who drove road train semi’s here in Australia had a chicken dinner at a roadhouse and became violently ill while driving running off the road and into the surrounding shrubbery , fortunately he wasn’t killed however he did have to spend a few days in hospital and now has ongoing heart problems due to that .
The mains didn't look good, true. I thought Ange's starter was okay, and I couldn't see much wrong with the prawns. Whether they're served in a bowl, a glass or on a plate makes no odds to me. But the dirty utensils and a dirty plate left a lot to be desired. And let's face it, this wasn't a cheap meal at 40 quid for two people.
That so called Christmas dinner was absolutely terrible and the knifes and forks had so much muck on them that you could make a Christmas dinner from that but thanks for the video Macmaster 😊

Hi I just had Christmas lunch at the Railway weather spoons Rainham Kent…. Basically eight fellas enjoyed a really good piping hot turkey dinner . Ps: two great cocktails £9 on the Christmas menu. Great staff great time. Oh Turkey dinner plus 500 ml bottle of larger call it £12 great value.
Somewhere who can’t get prawn cocktail right , alarm bells ringing !!! . It became unfashionable but to real foodies it never totally disappeared from menus ,oh dear looks like 5inned turkey roll .
This pub was my first local 55 years ago 😅 when it was called the Garden City Hotel. I sometimes call in there now but I prefer Wetherspoons down the road. The beer in the Sherwood Manor is not the best,that's when they have any😅😅

Dirty cutlery appears to be the order of the day, these days. This is where conscription would be a good idea, as whether, you were serving food to a member of the crew, or the officers mess, all would have to be presented properly and in a good state.
That’s was hilarious as well as disappointing Lee. The best Xnas dinner served from the 9th Dec is definitely Morrisons Xmas Dinner in their cafe. Very clean and fresh food with no x-rated sausage 🤣🤣🤣🧐
Here in the US, any restaurant with the sounds of men playing billiards next to the dining room, would send me right to the exit door. But it made for a fun experience to watch until you got sick. I’m sorry that happened.

The names awful, makes me think of the horse meat scandal. Beefeater and Harvester have gone downhill over recent years so I imagine that place is grim. Spoons food is great depending on which one you go to and what you have.

I always think Hungry Horse pubs are well below Wetherspoon standard. The latter are unfairly maligned.
