I've done basically the same build. What an absolute unit! Eventually plan on upgrading to a Hobby Wing Max 8 G2. Though it's pretty terrifying on stock electronics.

She’s already super fast with the stock electronics and a 6s . Things I wish I knew before doing 😂

The mx28 belted tires are so nice on the truggified typhon. They just had the metal hubs on sale for 7 bucks. Might still be on sale on proline or horizon hobby website.

    Fantastic build Jason 💯🥇
Now onto those steering post bushing 😉 unless those are worn yellow races 😏

I had to take off my rpm bumper, it keep ripping the screws out the bulkhead/diff case. Happened twice on my typhoon. Took it off, put it on my kraton, same result.

That's why I like the Super Basher Bumper better, I have one on my 6s Typhon, now you can get aluminium Hot Racing bumper mounts for them they sit on super secure to the chassis, the only downside is you have to buy a whole new set if any part breaks, which the springs in mine have.

I have had terrible luck with those wheels. They come unglued easily. Make sure to get the $100 aluminum wheel adapters too. The plastic will ones will crack. Worst $200 bucks I’ve spent. The mx28 buggy wheels are the only proline wheels I will buy. Good luck to you buddy!👊🔥

I bought the unbelted MX28s by mistake and they ran fine on 4s but one squirt of throttle in the air on 6s and all the tyres came off the rims and a foam insert exploded, whoops pay attention next time I get a set for the Typhon.

anyway you can list the parts that you added? That would be awesome for us stock guys. I love the video as you articulate to us the benefits of each upgrade. Keep up the great work.

Hi Jason. Did you use Kraton BLX hubs or EXB? Are they the same? Thank you.

Would the TLR Roller be a better Option? Prob not having to upgrade as much as you plan on replacing the motor and ESC.

I’m not in a rush to. A lot of the tlr tuned buggy would have been replaced. Chassis, towers, etc. Plus the stock esc and motor I will use in something else. And I got this when it was on sale. Can’t remember for how much though. 😆

I just got a Typhon yesterday so this is perfect timing. What would you tell me to upgrade or stuff that needs it first.

    • @JasonPerrinRCVlogs

Swapping to the Kraton hubs, rear carriers, and axles was the best thing I could have done for the buggy. Opens up all the 2.8" wheels and tires for it.

@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs ok thanks but I thought the hubs were the same on the typhon and the Kraton ? I’m just getting into the Arrma stuff so I don’t know a lot about it ?

A heatsink and fans, better chassis braces, a bumper, adjust your droop screws an all four sides to avoid snapping off your shock rod ends (a must for all ARRMAs really) and REALLY avoid using your stock tyres on anything but grass/dirt, you will turn those Dboots Katars into literal slicks within one 6s pack on asphalt/hard clay, as I found out the hard way. My centre diff had almost no fluid in it when I first checked it too, something to consider.

What kind of wheels and tires are those? I have the TLR and would love to pick those up

Why did you not buy the tlr version if you were going to upgrade everything?
