What a productive day you had! I am looking forward to seeing your MKAL shawl once it’s blocked. This weekend I have been mainly working on my Soufflé and my Scattering Petals Cowl 😊

You had such a productive day! I’m loving the book snake too. I generally just read one genre - thriller/horror - but like the ⭐️ rating idea for a snake.

If you tightly roll the quilt, pinned layers together, then secure the roll with bicycle clips is easy to fit it in your sewing machine. I've used this method for several full sized quilts.

I agree with this, creative rolling required but it works well!

What a lovely surprise!! After watching your Vlogtober and seeing you (almost) daily I felt like there was nothing to watch and needed some more of your videos!
I'm a bit terrified of the snake but it looks promising!!! And I marvel at your list making. I'm more of a "lets see what happens today" kind of person. I did cast on the Cepes beret last night even though I had an accessory knit started the other day, but its gotten cold, hasn't it?

Leah Day has some beginner quilting videos for home sewing machines on her TH-cam channel. I've always quilted my own quilts. Mostly by machine, but a few hand quilted. Hand quilting is a soothing process. Wishing you a lovely week.

I also really like a long sleeve, but then I get to the ribbing, and I get bored of doing the ribbing so I stop, and it's not as long as I usually like. Sigh.
Last week, I had taken the election days off (for my mental helath). And with those extra days off, I put on a comforting tv show and finished ripping out 2 sweaters that I've been wanting to rip out and start over. I'm talking YEARS of putting off ripping them out. But it's done and now I've got plans for the yarns. My mental health isn't so good, but I've got to keep going.
Cheers for making me smile with your videos. 😊

I am so so sorry for the late response! Loving the long sleeve love 😁 Got to hang in there with the ribbing, though I know what you mean.
Goodness that was a very productive few days off. Though, I am so sorry to hear you are struggling. It's easy for me to sit here and say 'you've got this' but I really do hope things get better for you soon. Frogging those projects so you can use the yarn for something you will love is a great win worthy of celebrating ❤ Crafting is definitely so good for the mind, it's certainly helped me out loads over the years. Plus there is such a wonderful and supportive community that comes with it.
Thank you so much for all your support and for such kindness 🥰 Hoping you have a wonderful weekend 😊

What a fabulous productive day you had and you even weaved in your end 😮 😂👍🏻.
Your book snake does look cute.
I did do a little bit of my MKAL and I’m nearly through clue 2 🤭 x

Oh gosh I know! How good was I 😇 I finally got the stuffing for it so it's even cuter now 🥰 Nice work. It is such a lot of stitches in clue 2. I blocked mine yesterday and found a dropped stitch in my bind off 😬 all rescued though... few. X

@ I’m glad you found the dropped stitch and sorted it 👍🏻
I’m in clue 3 yippee and made a little bit of time to start a couple of the triangles.
I hope you have had a wonderful weekend xx

I've trapped it in a lightbulb stitch marker so just need to sew it in now. Oh that is so exciting! I hope you enjoy the triangles 🥰 Hope you have a wonderful weekend too xx

I love your behind the seams vlogs. You get a lot accomplished. I'm not a yarn dyer, but you are, so I don't know. Here is my question, couldn't you over dye your Thomas pullover once you're finished with it to get the color matched? I finished the Gift of Christmas CAL and I'm currently working on week 4 of the Sirdar Christmas Gingerbread CAL.

I love the idea of a book snake, but Expression Fiber Arts dyed some yarn inspired by a book from one of my favorite local (to me) authors: Brandon Sanderson. I haven't read the book, so I picked it up a couple days ago (along with some classics I've been meaning to read). I'm going to start it on my upcoming trip, and have the book inspire me on what to do with the yarn!

Soooo enjoyed your vlog I'm going to make a book snake just not sure how to assign the stripes I was thinking maybe be author as I tend to read the same type of book xx

Thank you so much! I really enjoy making them. Doing it by author sounds like such a great idea. I am loving hearing the different ideas for the stripes. So creative 🥰 xx

hello, I love your 'crafty' podcasts. about weaving-in yarns : the dutch podcaster Sarah from 'it is A Sarah' tells in her latest podcast (11 nov) about how she overcome her dislike for weaving-in ends. (it starts at about 29min30sec). It is a nice story, that does not mean I recommend this method for you, I think you should find your own tricks. goodluck with all your projects!

Thank you so much! Also, thank you for the recommendation! What a lovely podcaster. I love her plan for tricking her brain with making sewing in ends. It is a great idea and certainly one to try. Thank you again 😊
