    Excellent video and excellent recovery!!! Great teamwork by everyone also!! With all of the hazards there teamwork is crucial!!! The rocks made for good pre-show entertainment. I also couldn't help but notice that your truck has better lighting than the power co trucks!! As much as you are a VERY good recovery man you are also a VERY good team leader!! You are courteous, polite and respectful to everyone and especially your guys that may not have very much experience with the task at hand. You explain what you need them to do clearly and never get frustrated. That also makes you a good teacher!! Job VERY well done!!

      Thank you! The truck is definitely lit like a space ship at night, no expenses were spared in building this truck. Sometimes you work on dark roads or sketchy areas and the light makes a world of difference. It may be a family company and I learned from the best (my father), but I realize not everyone has the same experience so I try to be as calm yet informative as possible when taking over a recovery scene and assigning roles.

      Yes and no, a lot of professionals in the industry will look at this and say "so what, it's just a simple trailer lift". But what makes it tricky is the environment you are working in. Everything has to be smooth and safe because if I jerked it just a bit too hard, it could make the pole fall down or swing into the city truck. Thank you for watching!

    Great video & recovery. So important that you guys show this stuff so folks can actually see the positions the drivers get these trucks in. I'm sure the truck owner would be interested. The truck driver completely missed the corner. It was like it was never there. This had to be expensive with the pole & wire repairs. Folks have no idea.

    Nice recovery guy's. I'm surprised that you hooked to that flimsy DOT bumper instead of going to the frame underneath. But it worked and that's what counts. PEOPLE MUST REMEMBER TO NOT MAKE THE HULK MAD, WE ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE HULK GETS MAD! Stay safe out there guys.

    • @PepesTowingService
      @PepesTowingService  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, I specifically mention in the video that I could hook to the frame and listed other options. The DOT bumper on most trailers is surprisingly strong, no chance it would have torn off. Especially on a direct overhead lift like this where I'm only tugging on each cable enough to get it to slide as opposed to a true pick and swing.

    • @dandunning4409
      @dandunning4409 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@PepesTowingService I'm not saying you did it wrong so please don't feel that I am. I was just saying I was surprised that you didn't go to the frame. As far as being surprised as to the bumper I operated a 50 Ton Challenger wrecker for a few years so I have seen a few fold up like a lawn chair and others hold up to a heavy load. Again not saying you did anything wrong I was just surprised you didn't go under to the frame. Nice job, Stay safe out there.

    I’m shocked it’s not a swift driver

    • @philsmidwestclassiccars150
      @philsmidwestclassiccars150 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not only Swift Drivers Rex. When I was a kid, I lived on a block in a residential neighborhood that had a dead end at the end of the block. There was a cross street a ways down there, but it only went over to the next street. I woke up one summer morning to a bunch of commotion down at the end of the block. Of course I had to go check it out. Some semi-truck driver had somehow made it down our block with a 53 foot trailer. He made the first corner at the cross street to try & get out of there. He ended up with the trailer flipped over on top of a car parked in someone's driveway. The tractor was pitched up into the air. The whole neighborhood came out to see that one. It took them like 2 days to clean the mess up as the trailer broke open & they had smashed can food all over the place. When they tried to pick the trailer off the car, the cans came rolling out, everyone went nuts & was grabbing them. Lol. The cops didn't say much, just try to keep everyone safe. What a big mess.

    Josh, do you like hot sauce? I have a sauce that I copyrighted back in 97 has a few peppers you might recognize Thai, Jalapeno, Habanero, Cheyenne, Ghost, Serrano, Reaper, and Scorpion all as a hot sauce. My one caveat is to use sparingly until you get the hang of it. This has gone all over the country and to Afghanistan with an Air Force member of service. Where the bottle was stolen and returned with a note saying it was too hot for their use.

    • @msnpassjan2004
      @msnpassjan2004 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      22:40 Never mind, you just need a screw driver to switch out the batteries... always drives me insane when you spend all that money and something as critical as a battery swap is not click and play. Also, I love how a battery feels when it clicks in place. Also, ever since I discovered the 6 point star pattern of Torx screw, I don't know why we use anything else. Except on airplanes, apparently flat head screws are more aerodynamic or something.
