I personally feel that including people who have/had mental illness in the list of people who “ruined their careers” is insensitive and belittles their suffering. Talking about mental illness in the same context as someone who called a press conference or made bad choices puts their illness in the same category almost implying that they had a choice about the illness and thus ended up “ruining their career”. It perpetuates the stereotype that people choose to be depressed or paranoid rather than understanding that it was an illness that they were dealing with. Just think about it, would you put someone who had a physiological illness such as cancer in this list? Probably not. We need to understand mental illnesses as real illnesses and not something that people are going through because they couldn’t deal with the stressors of life.

That interview needs to be released if you want to know the truth. In it she was very composed and articulated herself with great intelligence. Hi! I always really like your videos and feel like you are open to learning so making this comment here. I personally feel that including people who have/had mental illness in the list of people who “ruined their careers” is insensitive and belittles their suffering. Talking about mental illness in the same context as someone who called a press conference or made bad choices puts their illness in the same category almost implying that they had a choice about the illness and thus ended up “ruining their career”. It perpetuates the stereotype that people choose to be depressed or paranoid rather than understanding that it was an illness that they were dealing with. Just think about it, would you put someone who had a physiological illness such as cancer in this list? Probably not. We need to understand mental illnesses as real illnesses and not something that people are going through because they couldn’t deal with the stressors of life.

Listen as i am none to interfere in these discussions, but straightly hearing slat from an actor mouth about the khan...hw can he be lying on indian press tv..wat was he mad to make his career on stake and speak wrong about one of the popular khans, NO! So i am sure he was being truthful, and poorly lost his fame in industry. I truly loved oberoi...god be with him always!

Rajesh Khanna spoilt his career by being a late-comer and nakhrebaaz. When his films flopped, no one was willing to touch him, and let him have a second chance. That is when he took to alcohol, destroyed his marriage, and ultimately bit the dust. From a superstar to a ZERO...this was his career trajectory, in spite of his immense talent.

I feel like it's very disrespectful to include Parveen in this list. She had a well established medical condition, which she could not control. The reason for her downfall was her medical condition, not HER.
