I never really thought about lighters until you shined light upon it. I liked that you were very informative, and showed models which definetly helped viewing experience. ...and there are jet lighters and today also USB charged lighters that use the heat energy generated due to resistance of certain metals to electricity. The electricity passes to the metal molecules but the resistance creates some energy to warm up the metal. Its the same as the traditional car lighter. Great video!

@@thinguide3687 The video was great, though, otherwise. I do a lot of video editing on the side. The thing that gets a lot of creators at the start is normalizing the volume. Not everyone listens to TH-cam with headphones. So you have to increase the volume for folks like me that use external speakers. Most of the time, people with external speakers don't have the sound up to max volume because windows sounds will blow the speaker or your ears. So assume that the volume is WAY lower than it is, or check it with your own speakers for best effect.
That's really helpful, I should have checked it before uploading. I really appreciate the advise. I need all the help I can get tbh, I am struggling to get the ball rolling on this channel.
@@thinguide3687 I do social media and TH-cam management. Making channels become more popular, people become more popular on social media Etc. The key is to be consistent. TH-cam will show your videos more if you make more content. Even if that content is shorter, it shows that your channel is active. This also includes interacting with those that comment, liking comments, etc. Beyond that, get a twitter and learn how to use it. You can gain a gigantic following by twitter alone. It takes work, but it's extremely doable. Beyond that, get to know how to use reddit and use it as much as you can, peppering in your videos when you can. Also consider buying advertising space on various social media. That's a good way to turn dollars into views.

My primary issue with this video is that when he speaks upon the flintlock tinderbox/flintlock tinder lighter he shows us a photo of a modern butane gas lighter that is shaped as a flintlock. Funny but also inaccurate. The flintlock lighter had the barrel removed and in place had a tinderbox designed to catch the sparks from the flint while while holding tinder. They were no more dangerous than a cap gun
Having a hard time googling this question. Can someone tell me what effect causes the wick to soak up or draw in fuel from the cotton? (yes, the wick is absorbent, but there is an excess of cotton which is far away from the wick. I can't remember the cause of that fuel being drawn towards the wick when it's not in the cotton that's right next to the wick)
My lighter's sparkwheel lighter with covering like zippo...( It's bullet shape with point part being the cover tho i. Saw bottom part as cover in online before buying..) It's about 4$ i think but whenever i open the cover and before striking sparkwheel , there's sound of gas coming out as i heard in piezoelectric stove with broken battery. WONDER IF IT'S poorly made for price or just broken . Also not a lighter user ( it's like a torch ) just ordered because it looked new and cool
