One of the things I wish people would stop saying is that I am the parent of my dog, I neither provided sperm, nor gave birth to it.

So so true, a dog isn't a child and even less your child...

Our latest dog was a Rhodesian Rhidgeback.
When going to puppy training class the husband of the responsible trainer would normally also attend.
He came to us and said things likle "you will have problems with this dog. You often hear about agressive issue with Rhidgebacks".
Finally I had to tell him off and to get out of there and to stay clear of us. He had nothing to do with the training class except that he's wife was the instructor.
For me this is an illustration that most often the propblem is the attitude of people rather than the dog.
Our Rhidgeback was not at all the bravest or most mucho of Ridgeback males.
Instead he was rather a bit cowardly but alaso the sweatest and most loving dog ever.
The world does not need protection from dogs like the Rhidgeback, Staffies or Pitbulls but from people like that guy.
Forhunately he kept he's distanse after I confronted him.
To me the Ridgeback is still the most beutiful and best dog in the world.
But as we have gotten on a bit in age and especially my partner has some problems with arms and shoulders I do not think tha a Rhidgeback would be the best fit for us today if we would get a new dog.
If we would get another dog today I think that it would be a Staffie, Olde English Bulldogge or a German Pinscher.
    Something in that size area.
But if it was all me allone, It would still be a Rhidgeback

Brilliant video, and makes an awful lot of sense, people who make comments about any bully breed's obviously don't know anything about dogs. Happy Christmas 🎄 and a very Happy new year staffy dog.

    "most"..."usually"..."can"...."depends"....."many"....etc..etc...etc
Non pitbull owners are sick of stories about how they've ripped a child to shreds.
Everyone's pitbull is their loving family member that wouldn't hurt a fly until the day they do.

That what pisses me off about this stuff. Most people know its mostly the way they are raised. Most people also know that a pitbull can kill a dog, child and even full grown adult way easier then a labrador. And that is the problem. If it goes wrong, it goes badly wrong.
All the other stuff, sure talk and yell about it if you want, but you can't change this fact by making a video disproving myths.

I'm just tired of their overall outward hostility towards my dog, and this isn't conveyed in any words they may utter, it's the dirty looks and people pulling their own dogs (and often their kids, too) away from my dog and I, usually crossing the street or just changing course entirely, usually with an audible sigh and/or that judgemental tisk. I took my dog in as a 2 mos. old puppy because they often put black pits down because they're near impossible to adopt, and for the life of me, I'll NEVER understand WHY.
On any case, my pittie is probably the smartest dog I've ever had, hands down; he's also a big, heavy, muscular BIG BABY. His main problem is that he just has no idea just how strong and HEAVY he is; when he steps on my foot, it usually leaves a bruise to some degree, but he has absolutely no idea that he's hurt my foot!
The saddest thing, though...is how he cries and looks at me when he's openly discriminated against by these CLODS. He doesn't understand and he certainly has no idea that his breed is so grossly misunderstood, often willfully.
