Hey Commander - EXCELLENT REVIEW! I have the LionSteel T6 in my "Wishlist" of knives to buy, so it was great to see it held-up so well when you really put it through the paces! I like that you did a combination of heavy chopping on the really hard fence post as well as some finer work splitting and making feather sticks. I LOVE your support of those who have put their lives on the line so we can all live in FREEDOM AND SAFETY! Thanks bro!
@@LegionTacticoolCutlery I did brother. I have to watch on my work pc because we can’t use our phones at work. But I can’t comment on work pc. Keep rocking brother your channel is steady growing. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
LionSteel is quality and good looks. I have the T5. I could do without the swedge on this one. Otherwise, I like it. When I bought my T5 a few years ago I wished it was longer and then they came out with the T6. I'll get one someday.
Great demo! I have this knife and your video is the latest on it. I am carrying a folder today by Ken Onion: Panache. And my fixed blade today is Bark River knives Fox River EXT-2 LT.
I was honestly a bit disappointed with the T6. MASSIVELY THICK BEHIND THE EDGE. Reprofiled mine to a secondary high shallow convex. Took over an hour with whetstones.....not an easy to reprofile / sharpen steel. I would highly recommend going with the 3V version for a field knife. I can only imagine how long repairing edge damage in the field would take. In hindsight I would have used the belt grinder to reprofile the edge instead. The T5 with an inch longer blade in 3V would have been perfection, vastly better blade geometry & the handle is also better.
Same thing in my opinion. Just a kicked up version of 3v. I just found this online for a great price and I pulled the trigger. The 3v version is way more than enough…. As per Bohler-Uddeholm its toughness is more than doubled compared to AISI M4 steel, while retaining similar wear resistance.
