I’ve recently come across and acquired one of these guitars and it’s great. It has some unusual and rather attractive qualities - as far as playability and sound are concerned and strikes me as virtually as good as any Strat I’ve ever played, if not as solid feeling as expensive Fenders. It’s made of cheaper materials, but is very flexible, versatile and user-friendly.
I own two Jay Turser strats and love them both. Replaced the pickups and made a few adjustments. I play them almost every weekend at shows. The beauty of this guitar is its light and plays well. I’m a Jay Turser strat fan for sure.
We’re living in a time where “cheap” doesn’t sound cheap anymore. That strat sounds great for an inexpensive guitar. You can always “mod” later on. That guitar sounds great! So does your playing. I’ll be considering getting one. The white one for me.😌🎶👍🏾
Just seen one locally for sale for 120$ Canadian$funds. It's green, gold hardware and white pearloid pickguard. I have 3 Fender strats, but i feel like getting this Jay Turser. Not much info on the internet. Thanks for the review and the wider fretboard notice. How about the frets? Small vintage frets? Med jumbo? Jumbo?
Very nice for a 'non main stream' manufacturer guitar. The riffs for the Brown Sugar/Stones song I think would sound better on a Telecaster (not a critique of your playing). The riffs for Free Ride are spot on, which are a strong tribute to your abilities and to the guitar. I am glad you played different riffs as you switched the pickups. I imagine the neck pickup would be useful for some jazzy, soft melodies. Thanks for the video.
It's the Fender Super Champ xd. I LOVE it! 15 watt amp with 2 pre-amp tubes and 1 power tube. And it has about a dozen voicings. The clean ones are mostly Fender amps, and then there is a nice Vox and a couple of Marshalls. I don't care for the metal amp voices however.

Good playing 👍🏻
Nice tone
Have you ever tried to tune it to a Guitalele or 6 string Mandolin tuning ? I have but got tired of breaking strings .
How do you know that it hasn’t got any modifications?
What amp do you use?

I'm guessing it's a Pevey
