Super interesting to see side by side each type of distorsion on a more focused type of instrument like the 808, great vid!!!
Quality content right here!
❤️🙏
The blues drive is amazing on the 303 youre right!
Wow... So cool to heard this interviews, thank you !
There is more were that came from ✌️ Glad you enjoyed it
Highly recommend Helena Hauffs Album 'Qualm'.
Fully and fearless distorted 808s, very cool grooves.
Anyone else just bumping to this tutorial?
that rage feature on the Fuzz Fiend... holy fuck
and I was just looking for some distortion pedals for the TR-808 :) in my opinion all of them they sound quite good.. Definitely I'll get a blue one and a yellow.. + Proco Rat. I've seen some videos with the TR8 or any 303, it does the proper job! I'm still so curious about the connection of TR808 and IOTINE CORE. I can't afford the IOTINE at the moment but I'll definitely get one in the future. Many thanks for the video, so helpfull and inspirational for many.. all the best!
blues driver all the way and its boss /roland so it matches the tr 808
I didn't really like the sharp overtones of the Blues Driver. I did however like the Distortion+. Funny thing, after I just put one in my wishlist on Thomann, I read a comment saying that it's crap at distortion but much better as boost and as a Blues Driver. Well, this demo tells me that it's quite different from one of those though 😆 And comment also said, that due to having no tone control, you wouldn't destroy your sound. If that's because it's usually a bandpass filter that is used, then I guess that makes sense that both lows and highs gets reduced when have the tone control in the middle 🤷♂️ I just hadn't thought about it being the effect of the tone control making that change. Weird, because that makes total sense 🤔 And yet not, because the Overlord Nano I just had, did have individual controls for bass, mid and treble, and even having the bass and high maxed, it still had lost freqeuencies 🤔😔
Great video thank you
I highly recomment a cheap Boss BX 6 Mixer. Its useless as a mixer but great for 6 distorion channel in one box
That’s how they did it in the 90s for sure
Pro Co Rat 2 is missing hardly in this comparison ;-)
Best distortion for my 909 and 808 is 90s mackie mixer when overdriven way better than boss distortion pedals imo
Fender Distort - All you ever need
Thinking seriously about buying this pedal just for drums mainly...
Thanks for this video, very helpful!
Do you have any suggestions on delay pedals? Or delay FX units? Thanks
The Strymon Dig is beautiful. Memory Man from Electro Harmonix is great too. The Moog MF Delay is a great BBD...
Why is the interviewer messing with the knobs? Very intrusive!
That glass of cola next to that gear is giving me anxiety!
That‘s coffee, in case it makes you feel better
DS-1 Distortion oder Blues Driver? 🤔
ds-1 sounds nice with a tb303
Put that drink on a separate table bro!
I have no money to buy such equipment. What can you advise plugins for FL studio that sound closer?
Izotope trash2 is pretty good, regularly goes on sale, I think guitar rig by NI is free?
FL studio has pretty good plugins there is fruity waveshaper ,hardcore ,fast distortion
Cytomic’s The Scream is a sweet tube screamer emulation for $29. For anyone reading this two years later.
studio monitors to lapel. lol
I gotta question: I got myself the Blues Driver today and just plugging it in already results in a noisefloor of almost -12db if the level and gain knob are all the way up, and i'm not even running any signal through it. So basically I can't use the recording, because its not only the distortion but also the noise floor with unwanted sounds. Any idea why and what I can do?
Some pedals are noisy, sometimes a different power source might help with that. Usually you don't push the gain knob all the way up, instead start with maxing out your synth/drum machines output and then add gain to taste and then lower the volume knob to the desired level.
How about a DI before going into the pedal?
@@manhighrecordings2647 you would use a reamp box, which is essentially a backwards DI
Synth Effects any think that allows a clean amping up I’d say...
@@manhighrecordings2647 DI goes from inst to line level, you need to go backwards and bassically attenuate + convert impedance
Where is the sherman 😂

Liebst du Koka Cola?
Nein, trinke ich nie. Was du dort siehst ist schwarzer Kaffee in einem Glas :D
LOL, what is it with you taking little cat sips of coke every 30 seconds, totally distracting...
