I appreciate the fact you were both so thoughtful and forthright about your feelings and reactions to certain aspects of this movie. I didn't even know you have another channel, so I'm going to check that out now.
I know I've commented before about Lacey speaking over certain dialogue in your LOST reactions (because I'm such a fan and don't want y'all to miss a second of it lol) and I hope that didn't hurt anyone's feelings, I was only saying that as a viewer. With that said, I just wanted to sincerely thank both of you for not only reacting to this incredible movie, but having such a thought-provoking and important discussion throughout and at the end. Thank you, thank you, thank you. No only do LGBTQ people have to deal with possibly being thrown into a conversion camp, we also have to deal with other aspects that make life more difficult for us. My husband's family abandoned him. When his grandfather died, they said we could come to the funeral but had to "sit away from everyone in the music room" and at the gravesite to "sit in car far away." I have PTSD from all the years of bullying and discrimination I went through. You can see me discuss my story in a video on my channel. Thank you again for bringing more LGBT content to the surface. More importantly, thank you for conversation.
I don't know how I'm missed this reaction unti now! I've watched a lot of your other content and somehow overlooked this one. I think you guys are amazing. Seeing Steve tear up made me cry. You're a good and kind man, sir! This entire movie is painful to watch and it fills me with rage, but there are three things that hurt my heart more than anything. Watching what they put Cameron through, how they broke him and then he took his own life crushes my soul. The way he protected Jared so he could get away proved what a great young man he was. He was a fictional character, but his story is very real. The second thing is Nancy (Nicole Kidman) and how she finally chose her son over everything and everyone else. She failed Jared by being passive for a long time, but that "Mama Bear" finally came out when she saw and heard her son in trouble. The third is how Jared was raped and no one cared! Again, it's a very real situation. You guys are the best!
Hi guys, love your reaction, didnt care for the movie very much I didn't know there are still conversion therapy still going on today. Its silly to try to change who a person is, makes no sense, I can only imagine the depression. Anyway if you guys haven't seen it, please consider 1.
