You could probably even experiment with different arrangements of balls, like putting less in and curing the resin in stages so you can make some of them floating. Maybe throw in some of those small toy golf balls around those ones as well, some tees.
Also this same design, also maybe re-coat the outer surface to make it perfectly smooth, maybe some fancy base and nameplate space for a competition.
Loads of cool ideas that could be done with this design. I like this one especially because of the different smooth and rubbery textures.

I am extremely surprised to see the colours inside the golf balls . When my sisters and I were children light years ago we’d search for golf balls around the local course and pick them to pieces . Their innards were made of zillions of rubber strands wound tightly in a sphere . We also put pennies on the railway tracks . Ah the delights and never ending entertainments of the country town .

Kapalua Golf - Maui, Hi (Plantation Course)
This is by far the best golf experience I have ever had. There are probably courses that rate “better,” but the combination of the incredible views and weather in Maui, and the playability of the course makes it #1 in my book. Very enjoyable for an amateur or novice golfer. Big fairways and big greens make for a great round of golf. If you are a more experienced golfer, this course is great because you can absolutely smash the ball as far as you want on many holes here.

Some points, to boost the algorythm with a comment.
The idea itself are a win in some mad art competition.
They say to do a freehand circle is a sign of an artist. Doing freehand turning a ball makes an all-round artist, even if it became an oblate spheroid, just like our planet on a stand. Beats the CNC work, wich i doubted can be made into artwork. Metalworking on a machine tend to look too mechanic to call it an art. People have to love it, the piece having no other purpose, than to please the eye, provoking thought and emotion.
This is also a first machining video i've seen women commenting in awe!
Last year i managed to mill a heart out of 60mm plasma offcut with an irregular chasm through the centre. Came out beautiful. It was a farewell gift to a girl who broke my heart. She loved it, named it an art piece and carries often with her. I told her if she didn't reject me in the end, she'd still get the heart and more, just without the split trough the middle. That split added to the estethic value though, making an inexpected life lesson.
After that, i had no more spare time at work and been low on ideas recently. Even if i have no tools or machine at mine yet, thanks for the inspiration, Ben!
