Depending on your experience level can take several weeks to get some of these beginner moves/combos down, stick with it!

my hands are too small to push the packet up while holding onto the packet with the thumb at 0:43

It needs to be pretty deep in your palm, try using your other hand for help and it might be easier once you get a feel for it
