Interesting video. If there's indeed licensing and legal reasons that prevents other older titles becoming available on Xbox One and Series then that's it. Fortunately the older hardware isn't expensive and half the original Xbox library can easily be played on a modern TV via Xbox 360 without the need of an hdmi adapter or hardware mod.

Xbox 360 backward compatibility on the Xbox One and Series is far more fascinating. It's partly hardware based for certain XNA files. They also recompiled each game. Ps5 has native backwards compatibility native bests emulation as emulation is more work and requires paying the publishers to get there permission like how the Xbox one bc is
I'm leaving a critical comment not to negate the useful info in this vid, but to help for future vids. Your voice recording quality has inconsistent volume and is also very low overall and monotone. This makes it difficult to hear. I had to rewind several times to understand what your were saying. I wear headphones, so this should not be an issue. I recommend shorter takes (saying less words) and taking a breath if you need to do so. This will help keep the volume of similar level throughout. You can also normalize the audio which boosts quiet sounds will lowering overly loud sounds.
It's nice but the delisting has to stop. I had to get mortal kombat 9, splinter cell 1 and 2, bad company 1 and 2, silent hill downpour and skate 2 on disc because ms took them off the store. It's ridiculous.
they've done a good job for the most part of finding a way to get these games to run on x86 hardware, which is what the Xbox One is, same with Xbox Series. but they can do better, because there's still plenty of games that they can bring back. I'll list off some games, some of you might know, while others might not. 1 Sudeki Original Xbox 2 Fatal Frame Original Xbox 3 Fatal Frame 2 again Xbox 4 Dreamfall the Longest Journey Xbox 5 Riddick based on the Chronicles of Riddick and Pitchblack Xbox 6 Doom 3 Xbox, a remaster does exists, but i don't see the harm in including this. 7 Half Life 2 Xbox, while the PC version is better, this was not a bad port. 8 Jet Set Radio Future Xbox, it's a travesty how this game is not available. 9 Halo 1 & 2, i figured to include them, but the Master Chief collection is better. 10 Indigo Prophecy Xbox, again another game that should be. Now for some 360 games. 1 Record of Agarest War 360 do any of you know this jrpg series 2 Record Of Agarest War Zero 360 it's a real time strategy turn base jrpg 3 Eternal Sonata 360, there's no reason why this game doesn't exist. it was on the PS3 as well, but if that's the case just bring it back as a remaster for both. 4 Magna Carter 2 360, a great follow up sequel from the PS2 Original 5 Phantasy Star Universe & the Ambitions of the Illuminus. not to be confused with Phantasy Star Online, although it did have a Online mode, if you got the full complete bundle. but what im talking about is a full fledged story driven action rpg, which is what Universe is. Ambitions was the Online part of it, so you could sometimes find it as a bundle, but they were often sold as separate games, but it's all part of the same game. i prefer the single player campaign, because Phantasy Star Online is not free. now the fee isn't that much, but it's like the free to play concept. meaning you can quickly spend 100's of dollars before you know it, still Phantasy Star Universe atleast that game, that's the one I'd liked to see come back. 6 Sega Ultimate Genesis Collection, this was not the one they brought back. this had more. 8 Guitar Hero 3 this game might be available, but i don't believe so. 9 Midnight Club Dub Edition 360 as well as OG Xbox 10 Need For Speed Most Wanted, probably the best one of the series. there are way more games than i included, but that's cause i can't remember them all. thd point is, there is no excuse to not bring these games back and more.. if it's a licensing issue, Microsoft can easily pay for it, but the problem is gamepass. that's why alot of games still remain dormant, these publishers now a days don't want their games solely on gamepass. even with Panzer Dragoon, Sega had to sign off on it, meaning they had to approve it first. but it can also be an exclusivity issue, if that's the case, all Microsoft would have to do is, setup a meeting with Sony and the publisher and work out a deal. but see these companies would rather tiptoe around one another, than work together. now i get Fatal Frame was also on PS2, but it's not like Microsoft needs to hoard the games. just go to the publisher, Koe Techmo, and work something out. don't worry about exclusivity, most gamers don't care about that. if Fatal Frame 1 & 2 came back, you know it would come to Sony's hardware. And i would buy it, because everything that comes from a Japanese dev automatically goes to Playstation, but if all you have at the moment is an Xbox your out of luck. that might explain why those two games haven't come back, it's likely because Microsoft don't like to deal with 3rd parties. Sony is that way also, but that's the one thing i hate about the industry. exclusively becomes a rights issue, it's like we had this game first. who cares people know that it's on both, so it doesn't matter who had it first. so like i said they can do more there, but the Original Xbox is alot more tricky. a few of the games i listed would involve those. now we know it's not just Sony, but Koe Techmo was pretty picky when it comes to Fatal Frame also known as Project Zero elsewhere. Dreamfall, how weird is it that, you had the 3rd game of the series on Xbox One, and you somehow forget to include the game of Zoe's debut which is the sequel. so like i said, they've done a good job but they can do better.
While it is nice to play old games, most people don't really want to play games that look really bad and run like crap. Most of the heavy hitters were brought over and that's about all 99% of people really care about. Other games have also been brought over through a rerelease or remake ala skyrim or resident evil 4, which look better and run better than the 360 counterparts.
They need to get the xbox games that were combatible on the xbox 360 working on the series x. I know they havnt as bmx xxx was on 360 backward its not on series x😊
I have to point out that my PS3 plays the vast majority of PS2 and PS1 games out of the box. PS5 apparently plays 99 percent of PS4 games. My 360 doesn't play like all 10 of the Xbox games I wanted to play. I don't trust microsoft with backwards compatibility.
@@emadstarns291 Co$t. Money. Moolah. It requires that to do anything. The Only 360 games on the Series X that Work are the 360 games that work on the X Box one. Some need a Download to Work, but the Vast Majority don't Work !!! Half the Games are Sega Megadrive Games and PS1 Games so they are Not 360 games !!! So about 90% of the 360 games do not work !!! Half the Games are "Diddycar Racing" etc and 50 other bargain bin Games you have never heard of !!! But only about 10 of my 150 games work on my Series X. No RPGs apart from Oblivion and Skyrim !!! And I wanted Two Worlds one and two. so it's a Real Let Down !!! However, the Series X is a Fantastic Console, and I still have a Working X Box 360 which is the only way you can play old games !!!
XBOX backwards compability is just marketing gimmick. I recently "tested" my classic XBOX collection on my XBOX 360. The results? - Only Halo 1 & 2 and few best sellers worked. Nothing else refused to boot.
Its incredibly limited on the series x . I wanted to replay those old midway sports games. Nfl blitz 2002 2003 nhl hitz 2003 blitz the league well tbh I haven't tested blitz the league I doubt it will be playable on series x . Original Xbox games got forgotten . I don't wanna hear legal issues cause u could literally buy a old Xbox and still play those games on a freaking Xbox it's not differnrt cause it's an older Xbox same way like pasta has 500 different styles of pasta yet they're all the same thing . Pasta is pasta wether it's fussili or rigatoni same way Xbox og is still an Xbox much like Xbox series x is just another Xbox. So why not support the entire lobby ? It's our games we bought these games and kept them all those years . Why can't we just play the entire line up of 360 and og Xbox? I tried 2 og Xbox games on the series x and both fails. Kinda makes it super unnecessary for gamers to pay another 100-200 extra dollars to replay shitty old games that are fun worth of few hours. Fuckin just makes it worthless and not even an interesting draw point for me. It was a selling point until I found they kept games off the list . At this point it don't make sense to use backwards compatibility. I have a 360 I have a few of them. It's legit useless to use your old games on series x. Nice to have it if you have games that are on the stupid list of 1.5 games . Like wtf is even playable for backwards compatibility on series x ? Should be series z cauee the shits a sleeper on that category. I like the new stuff so I'll just keep series x for series x and one games. It's useless to call something backwards compatibility when it's just compatible with the entire list of Xbox one games . Microsoft is a phony for calling series x backwards compatible. That's like saying come eat at this pizzeria but your fav meals a Mediterranean meal and the pizzeria goes we qlso have Mediterranean food but they just have 1 dish . That's how it feels with Xbox series x and backwards compatibility. You may think the backwards compatibility list is impressive I don't i find to be a incredible weak point for series x. If the company isn't gonna give us our fav games and have access to our fav games growing up then don't say u have backwards compatibility and like I've said earlier I don't fuckin wanna hear legal issues they literally allowed u to play nfl fever on 360 when madden bought out the nfl liscene. Microsoft sure knows how to lie to people qnd I'm here calling their bullshit. Make series x run at its peak performance stop making it look like a KFC pc Microsoft!

Better than Sony has
still waiting for more original Xbox games for backwards compatible?
I’m just playing the real thing. I’m having a fantastic time with my old original Xbox. The 360 benefits more I think as some of those games are a bit muddy and have frame rate issues.
Forgot all about Microsoft points
Ive been holding on my to my copy of DBZ Budokia HD collection 360 for some time now. I JUST WANT TO PLAY IT AGAIN ON XBOX ONE WHY IS THIS NOT HAPPENING? Things like this leads to more stable emulators which any other company hates, make these systems backs compatible and maybe this wont happen.
Cars needs to be BWC
BBecause of backwards compatibility I find myself going back to Gamestop for old games. Have not been there in awhile
The emulator is a x86_64 executable so it could probably even run on a windows pc lol
Bet the modding community could figure it out...
It's nice but the delisting has to stop. I had to get mortal kombat 9, splinter cell 1 and 2, bad company 1 and 2, silent hill downpour and skate 2 on disc because ms took them off the store. It's ridiculous.
The licensing bullshit really pisses me off. Two of my fave OG games (The Warriors and The Godfather) are NOT backwards compatible.
FIGHT NIGHT 3 & 4, battle field, Snioer 1& 2. Noooooo😢😢😢
This is why you need get the original Xbox console if you want to play all the original Xbox games you own...
they've done a good job for the most part of finding a way to get these games
to run on x86 hardware, which is what the Xbox One is, same with Xbox Series.
but they can do better, because there's still plenty of games that they can bring back.
I'll list off some games, some of you might know, while others might not.
1 Sudeki Original Xbox
2 Fatal Frame Original Xbox
3 Fatal Frame 2 again Xbox
4 Dreamfall the Longest Journey Xbox
5 Riddick based on the Chronicles of Riddick and Pitchblack Xbox
6 Doom 3 Xbox, a remaster does exists, but i don't see the harm in including this.
1 Record of Agarest War 360 do any of you know this jrpg series
2 Record Of Agarest War Zero 360 it's a real time strategy turn base jrpg
3 Eternal Sonata 360, there's no reason why this game doesn't exist. it was on the PS3 as well, but if that's the case just bring it back as a remaster for both.
4 Magna Carter 2 360, a great follow up sequel from the PS2 Original
5 Phantasy Star Universe & the Ambitions of the Illuminus. not to be confused with Phantasy Star Online, although it did have a Online mode, if you got the full complete bundle.
but what im talking about is a full fledged story driven action rpg, which is what Universe is.
9 Midnight Club Dub Edition 360 as well as OG Xbox
10 Need For Speed Most Wanted, probably the best one of the series.
there are way more games than i included, but that's cause i can't remember them all. thd point is, there is no excuse to not bring these games back and more..
if it's a licensing issue, Microsoft can easily pay for it, but the problem is gamepass.
that's why alot of games still remain dormant, these publishers now a days
don't want their games solely on gamepass. even with Panzer Dragoon,
Sega had to sign off on it, meaning they had to approve it first. but it can also be
an exclusivity issue, if that's the case, all Microsoft would have to do is, setup a meeting with Sony and the publisher and work out a deal.
but see these companies would rather tiptoe around one another, than work together.
now i get Fatal Frame was also on PS2, but it's not like Microsoft needs to hoard
the games. just go to the publisher, Koe Techmo, and work something out.
don't worry about exclusivity, most gamers don't care about that.
if Fatal Frame 1 & 2 came back, you know it would come to Sony's hardware. And i would buy it, because everything that comes from a Japanese dev automatically goes to Playstation, but if all you have at the moment is an Xbox your out of luck. that might explain why those two games haven't come back,
it's likely because Microsoft don't like to deal with 3rd parties.
Sony is that way also, but that's the one thing i hate about the industry. exclusively becomes a rights issue, it's like we had this game first. who cares people know that it's on both,
so it doesn't matter who had it first.
so like i said they can do more there, but the Original Xbox is alot more tricky.
a few of the games i listed would involve those. now we know it's not just Sony,
but Koe Techmo was pretty picky when it comes to Fatal Frame also known as Project Zero elsewhere. Dreamfall, how weird is it that, you had the 3rd game of the series on Xbox One,
and you somehow forget to include the game of Zoe's debut which is the sequel.
so like i said, they've done a good job but they can do better.
Playing Xbox 360 not directly from the disc is fake backwards compatible
Yeah it’s a bit shit.
I have all xbox360 games should play on xbox x, not buying new games
While it is nice to play old games, most people don't really want to play games that look really bad and run like crap. Most of the heavy hitters were brought over and that's about all 99% of people really care about. Other games have also been brought over through a rerelease or remake ala skyrim or resident evil 4, which look better and run better than the 360 counterparts.
I still want Godzilla Save The Earth
They need to get the xbox games that were combatible on the xbox 360 working on the series x. I know they havnt as bmx xxx was on 360 backward its not on series x😊
Fully backwards compatibility isn't guaranteed with Software Emulation
I have to point out that my PS3 plays the vast majority of PS2 and PS1 games out of the box.
PS5 apparently plays 99 percent of PS4 games.
My 360 doesn't play like all 10 of the Xbox games I wanted to play.
I don't trust microsoft with backwards compatibility.
Xbox wants to destroy their old games you don’t know their closing the Xbox 360 store still so many great games aren’t on the Xbox one store
Makes sense. They want people to buy new games and cut the cost of supporting old software / hardware.
@@WhatsOnMyShelfno it doesn’t make sense
@@emadstarns291 Co$t. Money. Moolah. It requires that to do anything. All decisions are weighted against the clams need to get something done vs what they sheckles they expect will come from doing that. If more customers cared about BC, they would do it. There have been several studies about BC and how much it is used. I don't know if the numbers have been updated, but the ones I saw showed the interest in BC decline as the life of a new console goes on.
Not good and we need another one and games being delisted is a problem.
hello camera XBOX is the Best place Period i want to see how SONY handles back compatibility..Oh wait PayStation will charge again for Games one already owns and they don't play old games said "Janitor Jim Ryan" who has destroyed Bungie with their GAAS massive failure and sacked all the Creatives just before Christmas No Share No Warning
That’s why they have PS3.
The first version, what can play ps1, ps2, ps3, only the update model without emulation not.
u can still do backwars compat in dev mode ps1 ps2 gamecube wii xbox360 and more
@@devilangel4655 can still do backwards compat in dev mode on xbox series x and s bro ps1 ps2 gamecube wii xbox360 and more
Why would Sony waste money on backwards compatible very little return investment Microsoft has more money is losing 2 generations in a row so they are desperate.
@@devilangel4655It cost them a fortune and crybabies complained $599 60GB is too expensive 😂
