Love your approaches.... However at the end as he is contracting he is moving out of ABD and ADD, why is that considered isometrics and not isotonic?

You're right. I'm just using resistance to motion which I considered PNF and got trolled. So I don't say PNF anymore to limit the PNF trolls from coming out of their caves. It was suggested I call it targeted isometrics so I did

Erson Religioso III right on. Keep doing what you’re doing. I learn a lot from you. I never bought into any of the overly specific approaches I was taught in PT school. I use your cervical and shoulder mobilization approaches on my patients now. I believe they get better outcomes. Many thanks.

Thanks! The approach works for the lower body too!

Hi Dr. E! Just wondering, when doing the mobilization that looks similar to the scour test, are you putting your weight down through the femur like you would for the scour test, or are you just grasping the knee against your body for better control of the movement?

It does look like that, but no posterior glide or weight thru the long axis of the femur. It could potentially modulate pain or provide a feeling of stability as many times joints like to be slack rather than stretched if irritated.

The fun part where he says “don’t get upset who study PNF” 😂😂

They tend to take PNF very seriously and have many rules you HAVE TO follow!🤣

Sorry this is a video for manual therapy clinicians not the public, they would recognize I mean internal and external rotation

    Don't worry . . . the PNF disciples won't call for your license, Dr. E :)
