    Thanks for making this video. I have to install one of these on my shed. It came with 2 side vents but that is not nearly enough. I measured the temp inside the shed on a really hot day, it gets to about 140 deg.

    Nice. You could also use screws with built in rubber seals then put the sealant over them to be double safe. I'm about to install a couple vents, my place has none and the heat radiates through the ceiling.

    • @Tech360Dallas
      @Tech360Dallas  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I didn’t think about the screws with the rubber grommets already on them.. those would be great to use as well,, but I can only imagine a house with non-and how much heat is in that attic lol

    Hey man; rough or not, you got er done!
    My house is 60y.o. At some point in it's history, one of these was installed. It's made of galvanized aluminum or tin, i think. there is only the one and the house has a high hip roof. I see it up there "working", as the rising hot attic air does turn it veery sloowly. The attic is still hot as hell. It makes me want to motorize the darn thing. The attic is literally sealed off with no gable or other vents at all. I was thinking of pointing a fan in the turbine's direction? Would that help matters? Don't really like the idea of having an appliance up there that i can't monitor but i'm desperate. Any ideas at all? Thanks man

    Hi I want to know if the outside temperature is 45 Degree C and the inside temperature is 40 C. Bu installing Whirlybird in each room will reduce how much temperature inside the rooms?

    • @MikeBonham-s6y
      @MikeBonham-s6y 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your attic temps should be within 10 degrees of outside temps. Make sure you have proper air intake at the soffits. Air from soffits should be able to reach the attic through the insulation by what’s called air chutes. The turbines are to expel the heat in summer and winter. If you have a heated attic in winter you have poor insulation and you’ll be susceptible to ice-dams on lower part of roofs by gutters. Room temps in the living space will be isolated by proper ceiling air sealing management plus insulation in attic.
      I’m in the middle of this project installed soffit vents yesterday.

    • @Tech360Dallas

      It really just depends on the direction your existing Vents face, I’m sure there will be times where they are fighting each other, Because honestly the vents you have already Are usually pretty good..

    Have you ever gotten mice that crawl in the openings and into your attic. I was thinking about installing a couple of these but my biggest concern is the mice getting in my attic. For those who ask how can mice even get on the roof, they’re great climbers.

    • @Tech360Dallas
      @Tech360Dallas  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No havnt had that issue yet! but to avoid that, you could always secure a mesh screen th the underside of the vent inside the attic. to prevent , birds, mice, leaves. etc from getting it!

    • @Tech360Dallas
      @Tech360Dallas  ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean usually most people put them for sure over a garage because most garage is do not get insulated therefore they tend to hold a lot of heat and sometimes it travels into the rest of the house and keeps the house a little warmer than it should, But you can put them over any large attic areas to help remove some of the heat out of the attic.

    • @wahoonate
