    One of my favourite massage videos. I work at a keyboard all day and this has been a real boon for tired, achey hands.

    This is fantastic! I work in animation and occasionally I get stiffness and pain in my hand due to several hours of drawing. Thank you for this video, it's so useful!

    After massaging one hand, my other hand aches from massaging so I switch over to massage it, and it repeats forever

    Do you have any tips for breaking up scar tissue in your hand? I cut off two fingers and had them reattached. I've been cleared by my doctor and occupational therapist to do any massages or whatever else I want (actually that was like 3 years ago). Would a spa be capable of handling scar tissue, or is there some other specialist?

    Don't tell me.....you made yourself fall asleep? Haha great bid as usual and I know its been said before but you really have got really lovely hands! I thought I was watching a fairy liquid and for a minute :-) Great stuff Elaine

  • @homespabeauty
    @homespabeauty  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hope you're ok now! Your best bet would be to keep it to the medical side of massage and speak to a physio about rehabilitation physio treatments relating to breaking down the scar tissue. Good luck :)

      That's definitely a medical question as you need to know what's causing the tingling and burning. Best see your GP.

    • @homespabeauty

    do you suffer with pain in your hands from being a therapist? I heard they are more likely to develop arthritis etc?

    • @homespabeauty
      @homespabeauty  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Therapists who work continuously massaging can start to suffer aches, pains and conditions such as carpal tunnel and repetitive strain. You have to find the balance for you and sometimes this is why therapists choose to work for themselves, as not all employers can be flexible with your individual needs. There are hand and wrist exercises that you can perform to benefit you as a therapist too :)

    I get cramps on the hand that's massaging the other.

    • @homespabeauty
      @homespabeauty  11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Best thing to do in that situation is perform one movement on one hand and then swap to do the same movement on the other, rather than working on one hand for a longer time. This should hopefully prevent cramp developing.

  • @robby2867
    @robby2867 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    never do most of the stuff in this video! I'm a LMT and trust me shes doing more harm then good her technique is way off and most people really need to stay away from stretching their already chronically over stretched wrist flexers

    • @homespabeauty
      @homespabeauty  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Err... so am I Robby so how did I manage to get to this ripe old age with my hands intact? This is a relaxation video and not promoted as a remedial massage video. As an LMT I'd expect you to follow the code of conduct and not bad mouth a fellow therapist!

    • @robby2867
      @robby2867 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      first off no you aren't me and its weird that you'd ask, second what part of the code of conduct says I can't point out your techniques aren't going to help anyone? and if someone without an education in body work watches your video I want them to at least have a chance of not further hurting them selfs

    • @homespabeauty
      @homespabeauty  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Eh? Following a professional code of conduct isn't becoming another person and isn't weird for asking. Your sweeping statement aside, keep calm Robby but you should know that people self massage all time through instinct...without a qualification! Don't worry though, they can look after themselves and know the difference between a TH-cam tutorial for some tips and a personal, consultation lead massage. Talking a fellow therapist down doesn't do you any good, so draw a line under it and go and have a great day!
