Just watching this is bringing back so many memories. I played this game so much on Playstation, that I eventually wore it out lol. Such a great memory. I'd play it again if I found it.
This is still my favorite wrestling game. I remember buying it when it came out. And it's even better when you unlock everything in it. And I still play it to this day
Man I'm not from the USA and I've never watched pro wrestling, but for some reason my neighbors gave me this game and I played it soooo much. Brings back memories, sitting in front of the small tv in the kitchen. Making my own characters with entrances and unknowingly maxing out their stats but telling my little brother "mine has to be weak, i made him fat".
This I believe is the first WWF game to have full-length entrances for wrestlers and I thought they were amazing for the time. Every wrestler being voiced by their real life selves was also a major plus for this game. Sadly the only flaw is one that's pretty major: the gameplay. Having to input a Mortal Kombat fatality to do all of your moves is just not good and sure you had a wide variety of moves, but the method of performing them made the game a lot slower than it should have been.
Warzone it's less popular predecessor with a much smaller roster and development base overall would be the first to debut full length entrances, while it was not as heavy in the memory of fans it was actually a decent play as my 8 year old self would say riding with my mom to take the cartridge back to blockbuster check it out if you get a chance
@@airplizzletv I know about Warzone. I guess you are technically right but I personally never considered Warzone's entrances to be "full". Attitude's entrances have more going for it no doubt, with everyone having their proper pyro and lighting, animations as they're walking down the aisle and in the ring.
@@ThreeEyedPea 100% I agree Attitude featured more luster even going as far as to make edge come out of the crowd which at that time was the pinnacle statement of the games attention to detail much like how Sting would come down from the ceiling in WCW Nwo/Revenge . With warzone it was the turn of the age in wrestling where they were leaving the In Your House style Entrance on the floor in favor for what would become the Halmark entrance setting throughout the attitude era. For the time the entrances in warzone were right on queue and I honestly I can never say I saw an episode of raw where wrestlers came down 3 steps like in attitude . Both games had inaccurate elements however Warzone surely did it first. Much Love Borther.
I bought this on release day back in 1999. I was always Edge, Ken Shamrock or Kane. I had to buy a second memory card to hold all of the wrestlers I created. Fun Fact- The Hardy Boyz did the motion capture work for every wrestler in the game.
The detication of Owen Hart still is on Dreamcast game version. But it is in the game credits when you beat career mode at the begining of credits you will see dedication massage and the year date when Owen Heart dies. So it is dedication in Dreamcast version also as PS1 and N64 versions be shure of that. 🙂👍
Hey, you allready can get to see the dedicasion message for Owen Hart in the game. Just what you have to do just turn game in it's Push Start screen mode and wait till the game sets the credits line automaticaly ant then you will see the dedicasion message at the begening of the credis. Cause credits allready can be seen in the game not to have Career mode played or completed. 🙂 So do that and you will have it. 👍
Acclaim took the controls that were a bit of a mess in War Zone and really nailed them in this game. This game felt so much smoother compared to War Zone.
Man so many happy memories playing this late 90's got me into the wrestling big time as a kid. When you picked Stone Cold I was like 'makes sense', but then you was like hovering over 'Taker and I was liked 'do it do it do it'! RIP Owen Hart, watched alot of his matches on WWE Network, great wrestler and by all accounts a lovely guy.
So many memories. Wwe focused on the entrances more than the in ring wrestling in this one 😅 take a look at how long it took them to nail entrances after this game. It was ahead of its time.
The characters you could create were ridiculous. With all the different theme songs and finishers I feel like this game was far ahead of it's time with character creation
Que lindos recuerdos me trae este juego. Lo jugué mucho con mi hermano, lloraba de la risa. Por ams que salga la play 8 este es insuperable. Hasta los comentarios son geniales jajaja
Acclaims last hurrah with the WWF and what a way to go out WWF attitude Is so awesome still 24 years I have to admit it's a bit ropey in places but that was gives it its charm still WWF ATTITUDE GET IT!!!!!!
@@eamonnmaccionnaith5761 Yeah, true... But warzone was after attitude, right? Perhaps just more development time or more adventurous developers? 😂 "I want to try something wild!! An elongated triangle we can use as a sloped entrance ramp! Revolutionary!" Can just imagine it haha
At one point in time, we all thought these were the most super realistic peak graphics ever. And we were happy. Now with the new games, people complain if a single forehead wrinkle is missing. Funny how that works.
for me the first wrestling game was at the arcade i remember always chosing that creepy doink the clown fuck he was terrifying lmao and the undertaker where my favorite
It came out in end of July 1999 and I really don't know why maybe those are the previous wrestlers that fought for a long time that's probably why their still here.
Thank you for playing and posting my dad and I used to play this happy memories thank you
thats how this wwe games be with this alot of moves for each attack
Who is your dad?

@14:16 LMAOF that Goldust scream hahaha!🤣🤣🤣
These were the best times of my life
Mine too the nostalgia is hitting me hard lol
I remember stone cold seemed drunk walking his entrance in this game. Lol. What an era to be playing games. Everything seemed so calm back then....
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😅
Everything was different when this game came out. Was so gritty and old school I was like 7 and I remember it like yesterday. Damn I miss these times
man the nostalgia................... this brings me back to when i was like 8........ im 30 now....
Yup... Where did the time go!?
Yup, i'm just about 31 now. God bless brotha!
I was 14 when I got this game and still my favorite wrestling game in ps1.
Man i miss being a kid playing this, i had sooo many memory cards full of created characters hahaha
The part of the game I enjoyed the most
Just watching this is bringing back so many memories. I played this game so much on Playstation, that I eventually wore it out lol. Such a great memory. I'd play it again if I found it.
Use an emulator man its so easy!
What a classic! Still better than WWE 2K20
This is still my favorite wrestling game. I remember buying it when it came out. And it's even better when you unlock everything in it. And I still play it to this day
The opening credits was so concise and cool. Captured the essence well.
Classic game bring back so many memories. I remember if you was to repeatedly do the same move the crowd will boo you
Facts good times
Back when the simple things meant something.
That main theme is straight fire 🔥🔥🔥☺️

I remember this game very well and WWE did a great job dedicating this game to Owen Hart 0:40
I wish we get this Attitude era roster in WWE 2k22 as DLC.
golden childhood memories 🔥

I loved the gameplay
No button smashing
Austin was walking to the ring like he had too many Steveweisers.
Undertakers theme here was the best one he had. Miss this game
This game has the funniest grunts and moans of pain lol

Holy shit, I forgot about this game, but I remember those title screens, took me back, the good old days, creating PPVS, oh man to be a kid again.
I'm telling ya 😅
Man used to love attitude, then wow when smack down came out what a game.
Shane McMahon and Jerry Lawler, underrated commentary team!
I must've been 17---waiting for this game. It was almost here, then sadly Owen passed. I remember they delayed the game as result.
That's crazy that the ref standing next to owen in the memorial graphic before the game has passed also RIP Owen and RIP to referee Tim White
Yes I peeped that too so sad miss them both 😢
I’ve been looking for this music for almost 20 years .. thank you.
My god this game was absolutely phenomenal back then 👌👌👌 my number one had to be no mercy on n64 though 👌
i remember back then when i first played this, I was blown away by the graphics LOL
It still holds up shockingly well
This is what I remember growing up. I just got the Dreamcast version and there’s no Owen Hart dedication.

Literally how Vince would of booked this finish in 2022
Best game back then on ps1…didn’t even realize all wrestlers are the same height in that game hahah, but good time..when i was a kid
I had this game on Dreamcast
Acclaim took the controls that were a bit of a mess in War Zone and really nailed them in this game. This game felt so much smoother compared to War Zone.
They were still shit. Yukes got it right with the smackdown series
Woooo so many memories! The microphone smash was my favorite!!!
I remember I brought this just for Stone Cold my childhood

Undertakers entrance is COOL af
I was a Playstation kid back then and I preferred this over my cousin's n64 wwf no mercy and wrestlemania
The first wrestling game I played as a young whipper snapper. Great times.
The characters you could create were ridiculous. With all the different theme songs and finishers I feel like this game was far ahead of it's time with character creation
Looks like stone cold had too many beers walking like that 😂
This was the best wrestling game back against WCW game
This entrance was awesome
the big head mode was hilarious :')
I forgot about them talking before the bell is rung LMAO 🤣
I played this and always remember who i was according to Gods will
Ministry of Darkness Undertaker was the best Undertaker of the Attitude Era
Back in the day when no one thought the graphics could be anymore lifelike.
What a brutal low blow from goldust

dam i forgot that UNDERTAKERS entrance SONG WAS DIFRENT ON THIS GAME LOL
In thr uk this game came out in August i remember mid or end i was excited to play this
Kane and undertakers entrance used to scare me 😭😂
I didn't ever play this
At this time smackdown 2 was hype
I could never figure out why this game used steps instead of a ramp.
It was probably easier to render blocks than a sloped smooth surface back then 😂

Best Wwf era Game
This game has better intros and commentary than AEW Fight Forever😐
Big boss man was a beast
When it come to 90s wrestling gam, WCW/nWo Revenge > War Zone & Attitude
WWF attitude
They spent a lot of time on undertakers entrance
You have to press like 12 buttons to do one move
I had an n64, so when I played the ps1 version of.this I felt so robbed, they. Got way better music n different chants, promos etc
RIP Owen. 24 years later.
Am I crazy??? I thought JR had commentary on this game
Warzone
I don't care what anyone says I had lots of fun with this one.
for me the first wrestling game was at the arcade i remember always chosing that creepy doink the clown fuck he was terrifying lmao and the undertaker where my favorite
Can upload the intro video? Altitude..!
Fuck me and my buddies use to play this shit all day
A Game with Owen Hart and Droz
Omg!
Classic
RIP OWEN HART
Undertaker looks short
Every wrestler was the same height. That's why Big Show wasn't in it. It would have been ridiculous to have the same height as Chyna.
Stark Road
Rip Own Heart
You will never convince me that a better wrestling game came along after this - this was peak
🥴
Why wasn't Kurt Angle in this game?
This game came out before Kurt Angle debut on PPV Survivor Series 1999.

Or was this game worse than warzone in regards to difficulty?
I found warzone very easy by comparison. I also hated that game for some reason. I always went back to Attitude
what a rookie, didnt even use signature and finisher moves
