She is right about training the ear. This is one thing that lacks in a lot of singers. Gifted singers always continually study their craft.

Yesssssss. All I heard was her ad libs in "Apart." Like in her Full Moon era she would just go back to bck to back with adlibs that were just so perfectly placed, they'd be decorated with runs, they were interesting, and yes they did seem like their own song on top of the regular song.
