Dang, that is rough. He is right though, they are mainly electronic. Keep us posted on how the repair goes man! I've heard awful things about the Sony repairs. As an A7II user I am extremely curious on how this pans out. Cheers!
Brock Jorgy Media yep the guy said the Sony mirrorless are less robust because everything is electronically operated so since I’ve been shooting with it so much and not “babying” the camera, there was bound to be some problems! I’ll def post a follow up video in a month or so, thanks for watching man!
Hey man i own a sony a7ii as well. Back in march my camera started to have the same issue tho i could still the sensor but couldn’t shoot anymore. I sent it to sony who was the only one able to repair it in my country (France). After a couple of days they told me they’ve replaces the plate where the sensor is fixed which is moving for the sensor stabilization. They replaced it with a new and stronger one apparently, it cost me around 220€ (~ 280$) and it wasn’t under guarantee ... But it s working perfectly fine now
Guillaume Taillard yea it’s a common problem with Sony mirrorless since it’s all electronic and there can be issues with the circuit when it’s been used extensively. How long have you had your camera? I got my camera fixed too under warranty, you can check out that video where I talk about!
Shame... I hope it isn't too hard to get fixed. But yes, 2,5 years of hard use can do a number on electronics. Even the best cameras need to go for a clean and fix at times.
Masticina Akicta agreed! Waiting on Vistek for an update! Will probably take another month but stay tuned, I’ll make another video once I hear back from them 😊
I'm Vincent yea man it’s not a good situation to be in! I’m hoping it’s not a worst case scenario, and yes the fujifilm is saving my butt right now. thanks for watching man!
Eyes of Infinity yes hopefully everything goes smoothly, they say it will take 4-6weeks until I hear anything back but I’ll be sure to make an update video when I do! Thanks for watching 😊👍🏻
Crazy! This video randomly popped up and my Sony A7II is being repaired for the same exact problem.
