I'm new to studying photography/video and looking to upgrade from my current camera the Canon Elph SD850 IS to get HD quality. In the meantime I want to become more technically adept in using what I have. I came across this tutorial and was amazed at what I was able to do in minutes to get the Bokeh effect using my Canon Elph SD850 IS! I was blown away with what I was able to get after pausing this video and going out to my backyard. I'm so inspired! I'll post my shots for feedback. Thanks!!!

I took the photos just before the morning sun got too bright. Our backyard has trees on the east side so it was the perfect background to take bokeh effect. Photos turned out great - thank you for the simple tips! I even got almost-hexagon shapes for the bokeh background. Amazing how there is so much in nature to see and create awe and wonder.

    • @theschoolofphotography
