In 2012 I was diagnosed with Stage 2B vaginal Cancer. I have received :: 33 radiotherapy sessions, 2 brachytherapy sessions and 6 Sessions of Cisplatin Chemotherapy and surgery to remove part of my vagina. At present I have nephroscomy bags, due to bladder difficulty and retention of fluid. Problems with my rectum which required 6 sessions of laser surgery and blood/iron transfusions. I also have other internal problems which include bladder and bowel adhering to each other with a fiscula in the middle. Tiredness is always a problem and I bleed from the urethra which I have been informed will require three bags coming out of my abdomen one for the bowel and the other two for kidney waste. I am alive and thankful for the superb care I receive from my cancer unit in Belfast. My prognosis had always been positive, however due to the rarity of this cancer I was informed at the onset of my treatment that there would be difficulties on my journey to recovery. I thank God for my life, it's a different life, it's slower paced and may I add more painful and uncomfortable but is a life worth living. Good luck to all you ladies starting and finishing You journey God is with you always. 😊👍
You Are very strong, Carol. It's the best way to face cancer. Fighting cancer is hard, but with the help of your doctors and your treatments and your mental strength you are doing the best to beat it. Keep going!
If I have vagina cancer I'm going home to Jesus. Had enough of all this BS. COVID caused the cancers. I had endometrial and clear cell cancers. While having COVID. COVID destroys DNA that kills a protein that causes a mutant gene
Super excellent job on this video. Very strong accent but the pronunciation and clarity was 100% understandable & by far the best of any foreign vid narrators I've heard.
Thank you DR Gonzalez for such a well explanation in detail and with great patience. I'm new to all of these cancers that invade our bodies and it's kinda scary for me now that my family and I recently notified that my grandmother 87 yrs old has metastatic stomach cancer. She survived breast cancer about 20 years ago and now it's come back but harder and faster. We were told they (DRS) don't know where it's coming from but they're doing a biopsy from her overies tomorrow. Doctor at emergency dept that found her cancer said they could see thru a ct scan if her stomach several small masses in her front belly and one in her lungs so my question is why are they doing an overie biopsy? Can you explain that to me please, thank you

Can canxer in the body be detected by blood tests? I ask this because some folks have found out they had cancer with no symptoms until pain. Then ER visit, then cancer diagnosis, and then its too late. In these cases shouldnt the person have notice some type of symptom. Then hospice then death.
Each type of cancer has its diagnostic tests. Some of them have ways to be discovered very soon and others it's really difficult to suspect they can be growing. Apart from the PSA test (indirect way to suspect a prostate cancer) and some leukemias or lymphomas, blood test are still no useful to detect cancer. That's why it's really important knowing the personal susceptibility to any type of cancer. A personal plan of cancer prevention is the best way to be on guard against the disease. PS: more than 50% of all the cancers in the world are being cured, and this number is growing. So cancer isn't always a death sentence.

C H I hope you went to your Doctor. You may not have anything to worry about. if you do have cancer I know it's frightening but the earlier the treatment begins the less chance of it spreading. Sending you blessings and Best Wishes for a speedy recovery. Xx
