  • What's better than a D-Max? Three D-Max's! When Isuzu's new AT35 D-Max pick up was heading North for an adventure with Damian Turner from the The Mud Life and Andy Harris from the Yorkshire Times Motoring, we were offered a V-Cross to join them in!

      Thats my dream truck and happy to see isuzu improving big time in their newer models
      Many people complain about their bad traction control hopefully they upgrade it but overall solid truck with the reliable diesel engine

      We’ve never had any issues with the numerous D Max models we’ve driven whether it’s off-roading or 800 mile road trips, bit agricultural but we like that. Thank you Thunder Bear

    Very good video. The AT35 looks so good, with its big arches, lovely alloys and that colour reminds me of the orange on the BMW M140i. Though t was lovely, did those wheels hinder its off-roading at all? The Normal D max's seemed to cope with the job, much easier :) Loe the video btw :)

    Towbar looks vulnerable (04:37).... it will buff out I guess, surprised Arctic Trucks fitted something that was always gonna take a smack off road, also needs a set of Mud Terrain tyres to do it justice.

    • @PlanetautoUK

      Its a "underrun guard" that Arctic Trucks are legally required to mount there in order for small cars not to get stuck under the car in the case of a collision. This because the car is higher than original.

      @@PlanetautoUK How about the Isuzu MU-X in the UK? It only has a 1.9 engine, right? Unfortunately not the engine model. 3.0 in D-Max I understand that England is strict with Euro standards. which it must pass the Euro 6 standard 1.9 engine can pass Euro 6 But the 3.0 engine is only Euro 5.

    • @aimas1065
      @aimas1065 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PlanetautoUK The 3.0 4JJ3-TCX engine has much better power compared to the 1.9 RZ4ETC engine. Going through the forest, the 3.0 engine is much more suitable. because its power is more than 1.9 power 150PS (3,600 rpm) torque 350NM. (1,800-2,600 rpm) 3.0 power 190PS (3,600 rpm) torque 450NM. (1,600-2,600 rpm.) Many people say that 1.9 A/T is sluggish, but 1.9 M/T doesn't feel that the engine is sluggish. I would like to ask you what you use in general. and use it to travel through the forest Is this 1.9 engine enough for you? In my opinion, I think the 1.9 M/T is ok to use in the jungle. Go up steep hills because M/T gears transmit full engine power than A/T gears. Although it requires more skill to drive than A/T gear.

    • @PlanetautoUK
      @PlanetautoUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      We don’t have the MU-X the only engine here is 1.9 TD and manual and auto, Hilux uses 2.4 and 2.8 and benzo used to use bigger. The 1.9 is pretty much all you need if you know how to drive it 😀

      @@PlanetautoUK I did consider buying one the AT35 that is but as I say in my opinion its over priced and under powered all show and no go, it needs a modern 3.0 V6 diesel with at least 250BHP and a a better interior the new Ranger Raptor makes much more sense at this price point, granted it won't last as long but most people change these every 4 years anyway that that doesn't matter anymore.

    • @PlanetautoUK

      One pickup we loved was the X Class, Navara chassis but Benzo V6, had the highlift kit too, it’s strange Isuzu don’t have a bigger engine option like Toyota.
