Hi Russ. The OP amp is a 2520. They sell that separately, but it was what is recommended for the build. Thanks for the nice compliment. I will be building more CAPI components in the future. I think they are some of the best kits out there. Andy
Since that video I have added another preamp from Sound Skulptor. This has not changed the noise floor or caused any other issues. The Capi components sound great and so does the Sound Skulptor pre.
That is a great question. Upon further investigation it is either the faceplates are different sizes or the L10 case is slightly askew. I’m leaning towards the faceplates being slightly off. The screw holes seem to line up pretty easily. I will be installing thumb screws this week so I’ll play with the fit then.
These are CAPI audio components that I built. I have heard that some folks have an issue with the Midas box. But so far these sound great. I’ll be building more soon. Thanks for your response.
@@andysworkbench5245 I heard the same. Seems to be when you use units that are power hungry like the Shadow Hills mastering compressor and some other high end stuff.
