- I had a request to go through my design process with you, so here it is!! Let's learn how to mix paint colors and learn to blend chalk paint!
I love all things bright and I don't think it is really a secret. What I really wanted to do was make this little secretary desk a statement piece. I have been itching to paint either a bright pink or coral piece. This girl needed help! Let me show you how to create amazing coral painted furniture

I am so glad you made reference to the taking care of our selves, I use to work out side of the home until the pandemic but always did furniture in my spare time. So when I decided to start a at home business I wanted to of course start my own furniture make over and design furniture business , so I did. Well, exactly what you said happens , I stopped talking care of my self as much because all I wanted to do was work and didn't want to brake way. So, thank you so much for bringing it up I think alot of us need to hear it. By the way, I am trying to have more time to take care of my self again like I use to.

Ombre=dark to light
Reverse ombre=light to dark (what you did in this video)
Gradient=from one color to another (like the mermaid dresser or rainbow things you have done etc)
here let me throw a wrench at you...balayage lol now WHAT is that? so many terms lol
@@BellaRenovare balayage is also a type of gradient but in hair... It’s called gradient in paint and color for art etc :) and u do art.

I keep a sketch book by my bed so when inspiration hits I write it down. Do you keep a recipe book for your colour mixes?
I love how this piece turned out, it needed a touch of you in it. Plus the textured lace turned out perfectly.
Have you thought about submitting a video to Dionne Woods from the Turquoise Iris? She’s starting a digital magazine highlighting furniture painters and other forms of art. Each issue has a key word. The first was courage but that issue is completed. To be released this month. But she’s linking her articles to the painter/designer so it should be great publicity. It’s called The Turquoise Iris Journal. I’m sure there is info on her website. You’d be a great addition, you are a really good teacher and your work is fun and unique.

Very nice demo of free-styling. I enjoyed it. Can you mix the paste with paint colors to get something other than white for your stencil design?
You would of heard me saying: YES do it!!! Add more color! It wouldn't be a Crys'Dawna special if you didn't have more color. LOL. Btw, I really liked the knobs you put on this piece. Sometimes less is more. Loved the heart ones, but honestly imho I think it would of taken away from lace design you featured. Most likely that's the conclusion you came too, but thought i'd throw my preference out there for ya :-) And yes SELF CARE is so important, especially in these crazy a** times.
