I absolutely love them and if you have the chance to see them live, they sing just as well as in their recorded version. Lil fun fact, I saw them live in 2021 with Voyager, and Voyager represented their country in 2023 so everything is possible.
As a Dane I agree we should send Vola, but I also know it won't happen. The Danish jury and Denmarks Radio, who is responsible for the Danish national competition, are very adverse to metal, and even modern rock. Now no matter what, if Germany decided to send Future Palace, I would be rooting for them. Genuinly one of the best bands I have seen live. My first time seeing them was last year, when they opened for Electric Callboy in Copenhagen, in 8 songs they managed to get the crowd to mosh for pretty much every song, they got a circle pit going and ended with a wall of death. This was in a crowd that didn't know them, and them being the first band of the night. I have seen them once since, and was equally impressed with their headline show, and I am seeing their second Danish headline show later this year.
It's really unfortunate that selections think like that, especially in Denmark with a decent history of good rock/metalbands. We've seen in recent year that if done well, it can really stand out and perform well at Eurovision. Think Maneskin, Blind Channel, Voyager and even Zdob si Zdub. Really hoping that mentality changes soon in countries!
@@RoyPM2 It really is, but it goes deeper than that. They don't really play rock and absolutely no metal on the radio. I'm here like, at least play some Volbeat, most Danes can get behind that, or better yet, play some Myrkur. She sings and records all the instrumentation for her songs herself, truly an amazing musician

A metalhead who likes Eurovision, that's refreshing! Tbh this isn't my kind of music at all, I find most of these unlistenable. That being said, I quite enjoyed AWS in 2018, so miracles can happen. The Georgian band is the one I find somewhat interesting, but that's because of the language. I was surprised you found a band from Spain because there's so little metal there, but then I heard their sound and yeah, you do hear this kind of music in Spain (I'd hardly call that metal).
